Dunno if it's urgent, but yeah, he comes only once in a very long while, it seems. You gotta have patience. And no, from what I can tell (I've never seen him) he's not hard to see, how could anything be hard to see with all of those freaking lights?

he's by the savepoint at the entrance, he'll be in the back corner, The guy is easy to overlook, but if you're in desperate need to find him keep entering an exiting gold saucer until you find him.(he's up and to the right from the savepoint)

But if you want to know the best way to gain gp, you should race chocobos

yea you can only get a maximum of 100 GP from him at a time- then he leaves. The guy above is right, chocobo racing is wayy easier.

Not everything you read on the intar-webbornet is true. wink.gif

I'm quite sure the chance is much greater than 1/60. Furthermore, it would be much more likely to be 1/64 than 1/60 because performing a power-of-two test is much easier than something irregular.

64 in binary: 01000000
60 in binary: 00111100

You can easily test wether the "64" bit is set or not, but comparing with 60 means a full-blown equation test AND that the random value be clamped to 60 (otherwise the odds would most definately not be 1 / 60; a byte has 256 different values, which can't be divided by 60 evenly.)

He's well-hidden "behind" the entrance (to the right of it, if you were coming into GS, technically) Just keep an eye on that spot and wait until you see something different.

The amount of money it would cost doesn't seem worth it, get it the hard way

You don't even need to race chocobos. If you're early in the game just bet on them. There's a thread in this forum with all the ways of winning. I'd link it but...

Or you could do the basketball to get GP. It's really easy once you get the hang of it.

No, go to the Save Point outside the Gold Saucer, if he's there it will be at the top-right corner of your screen, actually he's kind of hard to miss, so maybe you should have your eyes checked. On a lighter note, Chocobos are a lot more fun, time consuming and well worth it as a way of getting GP. The guy outside of the Gold Saucer is kind of for kids.....in the sense that little kids usually wouldn't have patience to raise chocobos, or have the reflexes/skill to do most of the games in the Wonder Square.....so yeah......

I'd say it's the other way around. My friend's 8-year-old little sister spends hours in GS and has insane amounts of GP. But when you hit your early 20s and life starts up for real, you just don't have the spare time to waste on minigames day in and day out. Little perks like this are great to have. smile.gif

Mind you, IIRC, FF7 isn't rated for play by little kids (regardless of the fact the average FF7 player is aged 11...) Draw your own conclusions. wink.gif

Look by the giant pink moogle's (camera) left hand. It's kinda distant into the scene so it's easy to miss if you scan quickly with your eyes. He's near the house, literally next to it. I've heard a Gold Ticket may be necessary to have the man pop up, too. I've been trying to find a screenshot and to put an end to this but I had no such luck. Sorry 'bout that. :/

That's all true, I just picked up the game the other day and started a new file because I was suspended from school for five days (Don't ever call a substitute teacher a Fat Chocobo wink.gif ) Well I finished the game on the 3rd day of suspension, but I wanted to do something else, but GS wasn't cutting it. I'm not bored with FF7, just need a break. Thanks for opening my opinion a little more Silverlance.

ROFL. I'd love to hear the story behind that one.
