I was wondering what games/series (other than FF) people here also like. List your top 5 of RPGs and non-RPGs
For me, RPGs 1. Grandia II (DC) 2. Legend of Zelda (series) 3. Lagoon (SNES) 4. Time Stalkers (aka Climax Landers) (DC) 5. SMRPG (SNES) non-RPGs 1. Super Smash Brothers (N64, haven't played GCN) 2. Draconus: Cult of the Wyrm (aka Dragon's Blood) (DC) 3. Very First Mario for NES 4. Sonic (only Genesis series) 5. YEESSSSSSSSSS! Â Finally I can voice my opinion on other games! Â Without doing anything!!!
1.Chrono Trigger. Â No debate. Hands down, put the cat in the dryer. (not Tiddles, he should stay away from the dryer. Until laundry day.) Â Fav RPG of all time. 2.Xenogears. Â Just play it damn it. Â Yes you. Â Play Xenogears. Â It's good, but be very openminded and very patient. 3.Lufia 2:Rise of the Sinistrals. Â Cursed with the thrice-cursed fetch quest. Â But Dekar is just behind Cid (FF4) for my favorite character in fiction. 4.Chrono Cross. Â Slimy Pierre was a pretty cool guy. Â Considering he's a wussy with a fake French accent, but he learned that you have to work hard to be a hero...but...he's still a wimp. 5.Planescape Torment...it's a PC RPG with a multitude of bizzare characters and one helluva story. Non RPG 1.Terranigma. Â I think of it more as a adventure, like Zelda games. Â Real good, get it. Now. Â It's a...diffrent creation game. Â Gameplay is a bit unbalanced. Â Lot of fighting in the first half, little in the second. Â But get it now! Â Sorry if I sound demanding. 2.Super Mario World. Â Classic, but i always kill off Mario to play as Luigi...I guess I'm a hardcore Luigi fan... 3.Age of Empires: The Conquerers. Â Nice. 4.World Heroes 2. Â Ha! Â fairly standard fighting game, but some really wierd characters. Â Football player, Captain Kidd, a 'Nazi German Robot' (I doubt he's a nazi, but that's what my bro calls him.) and of course, a Viking for good mesure. Â That's just to start. 5.Mega Man X. Top 5 RPGs:
1.) Baldur's Gate series. By far one of my favorite plot lines ever for all games in the series. 2.) Legend of Zelda series 3.) Diablo series, but not so much for the RPG aspect as the other ways of fun to be had in multiplayer hardcore mode.. 4.) Super Mario RPG 5.) Chrono Trigger or Secret of Mana Top 5 Non-RPGs: 1.) StarCraft, by FAR. Real Time Strategies are my specialty, I'm so good at them. 2.) WarCraft series 3.) Super Smash Brothers 4.) Thief: The Dark Project and Thief 2: The Metal Age. Not quite a FPS, but it more than makes up for it with the amount of fun you can have being a smooth criminal. 5.) Mario series, the series that got me hooked on games |

Top 5 Non-FF RPGs
1. Secret of Mana 2. WA3 3. WA2 4. Lufia 2 5. Chrono Trigger Top 5 Non-RPGs 1. Link to the Past 2. Super Smash Brothers 3. Ocarina of Time 4. Goldeneye 5. Kirby Super Star Secret of Mana is my all-time favorite game. It's got amazing gameplay, so much gameplay that it just stands out above the mediocre story. The game is just so incredibly fun to play. It never gets tedious. There aren't many games like it in that regard. Wild ARMs 3 is just amazing. The cel-shading works really well, the battles are fun, and the story and characters are awesome. WA2 is much of the same, with even better puzzles than WA3. Lufia 2 has some of the greatest video game puzzles ever, they're so fun to try and figure out again. And finally, as stated before, Chrono Trigger was really good, the time-travelling theme made it really fun. Link to the Past might be the best non-RPG ever (Even though some consider it an RPG), with awesome dungeons and gameplay. Super Smash Brothers is all-around entertaining. Ocarina of time is really fun for me because I love mastering swordplay and turning every battle into a major fight. Goldeneye is all about stealth and accuracy. And Kirby Super Star would just be about perfect if it had Kirby's Adventure in it. -------------------- Hey, put the cellphone down for a while In the night there is something wild Can you hear it breathing? at this pioint i must make a confession. its either i call chaos Gate an RPG, or the top five Role Playing Games of mine (if chaos gate is counted) equals..

Well I just dont know this is so hard. Â Well let me think...
Rpgs 1.Grandia 2, FF6 (had to list sorry>_> ), Link to the past. 2.Diablo 2 3.PSO ver2. (DC where ultimate is actually chalenging) 4.SMRPG 5.Legend of Zelda 1 and Legend of Zelda:OT Non RPGs 1.Halo 2.Powerstone 2 3.Sonic series (especially Sonic Adventure) 4.SSB or SSBM 5.Star Fox 64 Â But there are just so many other games I didn't get a chance to list. Â Oh and theres a whole group of RPGS I have never gotten to play which are PS rpgs. Â The only one was FF7 and two seconds of Star Ocean 2.
