I know I know...but hear me out
The IRC is not the problem, the Java is not the problem...it's the daggum imp that I can't name that is! Everytime I try to log on, it simply says...connecting...for an infinite amount of time... AM I crazy? Or is there something I should be looking at in my system instead? -------------------- This is a webcomic and gaming blog where I rant about nonsense. Enjoy. Well, first question is this: Can you connect to any other servers using your IRC client? If not, there's a chance that the network you are on is blocking access to the IRC ports used to chat. I know several schools and workplaces block this port.
The primary port is 6667, in case you are in a position to ask your network administrator to open it. -------------------- "To create something great, you need the means to make a lot of really bad crap." - Kevin Kelly Why aren't you shopping AmaCoN? |

Thanks R51, I realized that it may just be the network I am on. I will ask my admin to open it up, but it's unlikely. Guess I'll just have to chat when I get home!
edit: I'ma gonna close this now. -------------------- This is a webcomic and gaming blog where I rant about nonsense. Enjoy. I was a soldier, now I just play one in video games. |
