So..has anyone played anything out of this series? As far as I know, there are 3 in the series; I'm borrowing Grandia III from my friend, and I adore it so far. The lovely battle system is just so entertaining. Naturally, the Playstation Grandias have peaked my interest as well. (I'll bet at least some of you have played those, I'd think. wink.gif)

Some people complain about stereotypical characters and storylines, but I've never really cared about that, and haven't seen anything so typical so far. Meh. I never complain about stuff like that in the first place. tongue.gif

So, has anyone also played this series?

I played the first one. I didn't really like it but I should give it another try. I played part of the second one and enjoyed what I played.

Grandia actually has four games in the series. Grandia I, II, Xtreme, and III.

I and II are both excellent, excellent games, especially if you play II on the Dreamcast rather than the PS2, but Xtreme isn't very good. Justin and Feena's courtship is probably one of the most adorable romance stories in video game history.

I've only played Grandia II (on PS2), and I have to say that game is sweet. Sure, some of it is a bit cliched, but it makes it up in good writing and gameplay. Ryudo was hilarious, so sarcastic.

I loved the battle system in that game, a huge amount of customizability, and a slew of ways to design a character. The major complaint with gameplay was the linearity of it, but you can just shrug that off. Playing it on the PS2 was slow as hell, but I think that was a transitional quirck from going Dreamcast to PS2. Still good though.

So if you're done reading this, you know I have nothing to say and you've wasted your time. Thank you come again.

Actually, it seem that there's alot of games in this series. (Well, including spin-offs, I guess.)
