I can't choose between LttP and OoT. Just know that those two are the best.

Happy 20th birthday, Zelda series. I thought I'd dig up an old thread to honor one of the most storied game franchises ever.
Anyhow, apparently the poll tells me that I'm the only person here who counts the Oracle duo as his favorite Zelda game(s). Those two had some quality dungeons, entertaining world elements, and damn awesome inter-game features. You really can't go wrong with Zelda, though. I mean, it's the best top-down action not-quite-role-playing game series of all time, right? -------------------- |

Adventure for short. Anyways, I really think all of them were so awesome it's always hard to decide, but I voted for WW this time and was surprised to see that I was the only one. That game had some awesome artistic elements, despite all the criticism it recieves from OoT fanboys. But seriously, they all rock. Quote (Wind God Gau @ 21st July 2004 22:05) I am the only one here who thinks Links Awakening was the best? Come on, people! The music rules, the graphics rule, the story kicks arse, the secrets abound.. and you can freakin' telepoert! Your not the only one ![]() Not only was that game my first LoZ, but also my favorite, and I agree with the musical score (love ballad of the wind fish, thats gonna be my child's bedtime melody ![]() Though, Link to the Past came a close second, and shortly after that was Windwaker (that one is just too short storywise...) -------------------- Neneko is Neneko because Neneko couldn't be Neneko if Neneko wasn't Neneko! --as quoted from Neneko, Mahoraba {Heartful Days} I can stab a man with a thick paperback book thru the ribcage. |

ALttP is awsome, but it would be nice if Minish Cap was on the list. MAny people here don't like it, but it is pretty good fun, the graphics are awsome, and I love the music. It was pretty short though.

Well, I've played Link's Awakening, Oracle of Ages and Ocarina of Time. I love them all but OoC seemed ahead of its time to me. And, I just love randomly playing the ocarina.

My favourite was Link's Awakening.
That was my first Zelda experience. I can now run through and beat it in about 5 hours. After that, I say Link to the Past. I liked the original, it's just way too ard for my noobliao skills. -------------------- ..DDR..Maine.. ..Hikaroo-chan no Deviantart.. <Tiddles> And I love how people suggest "Why not call it my great name?????" when their name is clearly the worst thing ever. <Tiddles> "How about ; Mozilla Xplorer & Mozilla Xpress." <Tiddles> How about you die in a fire? |

I really like all of the ones I've played.
I played A Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time, Link's Awakening, and Majora's Mask. I haven't played the GC ones, because well, I don't have a Gamecube ![]() I like them all, because of the really cool music, places, and it quite frankly makes my imagination go wildfire. Especially Majora's Mask, which I could pick as my favorite, even though most people seem to hate it for some reason. I really liked collecting all the masks, even though the Fierce Diety's Mask made the game a joke ![]() I also absolutely loved the music in that game, and the really super awesome dungeons. And the final battle, you gotta love the psychadelic rainbow room. (Well, I did.) And the upside-down dungeon, my favorite dungeon maybe in any RPG (or Adventure game, whatever the hell you want to call Zelda.) But mostly I like them all because of the way they seem to make you use your imagination. And let's not forget the story. (Well, I thought the stories were good.) Well, yeah, I really liked the Zelda's of the ones I played. ![]() Edit: Oh yeah, the GBC ones. I played the Ages one, and a little of the Seasons one. I didn't really like those as much as the others I played. This post has been edited by Zeromus_X on 4th March 2006 20:33 -------------------- |

I'm not going on any limbs here. LttP.
It's the SNES one. THE SNES ONE. Am i the only one who thinks the SNES was a golden age? I used to like OoT, but after playing through it a billion times. (Once named Bob Dole.) I find the game way to overhyped. It's a good game, but it's not the game to rule them all you know. I found Wind Waker pretty refreshing though. No need for realism, but back to good ol' fashioned adventure! Pretty colors! Sailing! Fights on the high seas! Islands with treasure! Stevenson probably ghostwritten it. (Writer of Treasure Island.) Some of the puzzles stumped me for a while though. Often I was thinking to complexly. Simplicity was the answer. Also the fighting was much better then in the other games. In the end, Ocarina of Time wins for me. Very close behind is Link to the past. Then Windwaker. I didn't much care for Majora's Mask, but I don't really hate it. I wish I could have played the other ones, but I don't spend much time shopping the used game stores. Hopefully someday, so I can call myslef a REAL fan.

Heh... I'm the only one that chose "Zelda II." I really enjoiyed that one. Actually I do really prefer the first three for Nintendo and Snes respectively, mainly because those are the only three that I've played. Sadly
![]() Edit Oh hey! And look what I found in Google video! It's a german commercial for "A Link to the Past." This is just funny. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=15...legend+of+zelda And there's one for the original Zelda. I personally enjoyed Ocarina of Time, because the game play took awhile and i enjoy games that take awhile, and the story was pretty cool. I also liked Kokiri Forest, the environment was very peaceful and the first setting there was a great start to the game.
