I was looking through the old, dead threads in this board (I like doing that, I'm weird) , and I noticed a problem (yes I see the irony in a problem in the troublshooting board).
Anyway, there was a thread that was moved (not sure where to), and I clicked it, and it was broken. The link is Here, its title is "What are the stars for?" on the third page of the errors and troubleshooting board. Is this fixable? Quote ("The message board") The error returned was: Sorry, the link that brought you to this page seems to be out of date or broken. Bold is by yours truly. -------------------- "Judge not a man by his thoughts and words, but by the quality and quantity of liquor in his possession and the likelyhood of him sharing." |

I saw that, but unless it was deleted, how could a board be out of date? Far as I know, no posts have been deleted in CoN...

I would guess CoN doesn't have an infinit amount of space in which it can store information. For that matter, only two things are infinit: human stupidity and the universe.
Not too sure about the latter - science buffs can prove me wrong if they want... Because of this, the board probably prunes threads older than, say, a year or so. Taking a guess here... A moderator would know, but chances are it's just that. The thread might've also simply been deleted. Maybe it contained too much offensive material to remain locked or whatever... -------------------- "Judge not a man by his thoughts and words, but by the quality and quantity of liquor in his possession and the likelyhood of him sharing." |

Quote (Quad @ 5th April 2006 21:35) Far as I know, no posts have been deleted in CoN... Far from true. -------------------- Hey, put the cellphone down for a while In the night there is something wild Can you hear it breathing? And hey, put the laptop down for a while In the night there is something wild I feel it, it's leaving me |

Silverlance: There were a lot of threads from 2002, that one was from 2003 from what I can tell.
Neal: Ok, but any idea what happened to this one? -------------------- Squenix games completed: FFIII FFIV FFVI FFVII FFIX FFX FF Tactics: Advance 2 Chrono Trigger Dragon Quest 8 Dragon Quest 11 Super Mario RPG |

Quote (Caesar @ 5th April 2006 21:28) Runelancer, wasn't that a quote from Einstein? Close enough. The real thing went something a little like... "Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former." Recognizing the quote so promptly... I expected no less from you, Caesar. -------------------- "Judge not a man by his thoughts and words, but by the quality and quantity of liquor in his possession and the likelyhood of him sharing." |

Haha. Why thank you, Runelancer! It is one of those quotes that you read once and never really forget. Just like pretty much everything Cicero said.
Well...I'm off to continue packing. Off to NYC I go tomorrow! -------------------- Is PJ |

So anyway.
I really don't know what happened to that topic. All I can see is that two other topics with the same title (1819, 1821) were merged into it, and presumably the merged topic was later deleted for some unknown reason, as there are no longer any posts in the database belonging to any of the three topics that existed. It's certainly not the case that any posts have been moved out because of space considerations (though it really wouldn't hurt for us to do some archiving for performance). I've hoovered up the broken moved links so they shouldn't appear in the listing any more. |

Alright, thank you Mr. Mod. I'll close this now, cause my question's been answered.
