OK, this might seem strange, Lazzie posting in the Your Creations forums, but I promise this is worth your time. One of my closest friends recently asked me to post some of his FF VII fanart to CoN, so I'm obliging. Here are four of his FF VII-inspired works:
Tifa, in her Advent Children garments Aeris Vincent, in his Advent Children garments FF VII's Yuffie vs. FF X's Rikku Cloud and Tifa Cloud's defensive stance Braver Cloud and Vincent in color Cammy, of Street Fighter fame Quote (El Panachino) I like comments so if you like what you see, hit me up. Or since non-account holders can't post on Deviant, comment through my friend Mike here. Artist: El Panachino Devianart: http://elpanachino.deviantart.com/ He just got his DA account, so my guess is that he'll be posting a ton of his older stuff over time. I only posted four of my favorites from his DA account, but the rest of what he has posted is definitely worth checking out. If you guys like what you see, I'll probably officially submit more of his work. Hey, those are awesome! I bet if he coloured some of 'em, they'd go great here! I don't really mind clicking on his DA page, it's funner to browse I guess.

Except for maybe the Yuffie/Rikku one, I'd say his gallery has a few that are more dynamic/ambitious. No matter, the ones you chose have quite a bit going for them, too.
I think the best thing I saw is that the proportions, in most case at least, are fairly accurate, especially considering the kind of action he had the characters engaged in (they weren't just standing around All in all, not bad! -------------------- |

Here's some more from El Panachino, my talented artist friend. He sends his compliments.

Pretty sexy! He's got good proportions, as Galsic said, and a good sense of motion. I'd like to see how much better they could look, though, if they were cleaned up a little -- lines, contrast, etc -- in Photoshop or similar. I like traditional media, but right now they look too smudged and muddy to show off his skills.
Also, I'd resize them, since they're way too big for some of our slow-ass connections ( -------------------- Some ghost of me might greet my son the day he is delivered. Eternal Sleep, Track 1-1: The Blue Planet |

Beyond that, I, too, would like to see everything L. Cully suggested. Heck, even just making the drawings smaller'll help focus the lines and such (no likes the fuzziness). -------------------- |

This is an ancient thread to bump, but David's been experimenting with his new drawing tablet over the past year or so and has cranked out some pretty good stuff when he isn't busy with school. Here's one he drew for me:

Not sure how he actually drew it up, but the only thing I can suggest for that last one, as well as the other ones he has presumably done with the tablet, is, if possible, to make a new layer over the original line art, so he can trace over it with a cleaner line. He can then color in that line art rather than the original scratchy one. It's a suggestion, anyway...
