How do you use sabins blitz attack. Everytime I try it says input mistake or something like that. I've tried using the CoN guide which says to press left right left then confirm but it keeps flashing up the message. If it helps I'm at Vargas. I've never played FFVI before up until now.

Make sure you've selected Blitz, first, and that you're not pressing the buttons too quickly. If you go too fast, sometimes it doesn't work.

Step 1: Move the cursor on to the Blitz command in battle.

Step 2: Press A (or X if it's on the PS1); the cursor should now be pointing to Sabin.

Step 3: Enter the appropriate Blitz command, as shown on his menu entry for Skills.

Step 4: Press A (or X for PS1) again. The Blitz should execute after a short delay, just like with any command.

Adding on to what he said, be sure put in the blitz before you select Sabin. Meaning, put it in while the arrow is on Sabin, then hit A or X.

And if you're playing a ROM, you might want to know that if it is a diagonal, you can hit either direction. So for AuraBolt, where the directions are down, down-left, left, you can do:

down, left, left

OR

down, down, left.

If you're on the actual console, don't pay attention to that.

hahaha.... I'm such a stupid idiot! I didn't know that it promted you to use blitz. I was using blitz over and over and it wasn't working! Anyway so I tried a different stratergy after 2 hours (would you believe). I decided to just use the attack command until Vagas died, so eventually the message came up on screen telling me how to use blitz. So I was like "Ohhhh, thats why it didn't work!" Anyway thanks for the help anyway.
