Hey, the guide on this website says that to "Win the Zaland Fight" I need monks. I sent three monks on that Proposition, but I don't get any treasure, I just get Bonus money. Am I doing something wrong?

No, you're not. The "Win the Zaland Fight" proposition doesn't net you a Treasure, just Gils as you have already experienced.

This false information spread a loooong time ago on the net, due to the Brady Guide informations being so much crap. I thought I had corrected the Propositions a while ago, but it could have been lost in a server move. It's correct now, thank you for that.

Anyway, this "treasure loss" is not a real one, since the Miner's Tour 2 proposition in Yardow does net you a Treasure instead of Gils (another Brady Guide error, among many...). This brings the teasures total to 31, which is what you need in order to become a Master Treasue Hunter.

So, how do you fail a Proposition?
Does a level 5 Monk have a better chance of getting a treasure than a level 1 Monk?

Actually in my experience, I've only failed propositions that I've sent less than 3 characters on. The level of your characters mean jack in the propositions.

RE: failing a proposition.
So, do jobs of the people being sent on the mission matter?
And, by failed, I mean not get the treasure or unexplored land advertised.

If you put the right job in with the right proposition, I think it just nets you more JP than if you put out another job. The treasure (or gil) is the same regardless of the experience level.
