Is it possible to get on a tree or did the programers just put in the elemental skill info for no reason?
Me and my friend were just wondering -------------------- "Friendship is like peeing on yourself: everyone can see it, but only you get the warm feeling that it Bings" What you call dog with no legs? Don't matter what you call him, he ain't gonna come. HEHE sorry Wee FF VIII rules... XD |

Oh, you mean as a stimulus for a Geomancer skill? I can't rightly think of any topography that is classified under 'Tree'. Not sure if it was put in for no reason whatsoever, but there's a good chance it was either (1) taken out (2) left out, accidentally or otherwise (3) only there in the description and never put in at all.
[EDIT] - Stumps might count as 'tree', but I can't remember any grid squares like that. Araguay/Yuguo would be one of the likely places to check up on, but I don't think it's in there at all, truthfully. Mmm...what about the fallen trees you can stand on in the swamp levels? I'm wanting to think they trigger Kamaitachi, I'll have to check to be sure.

Yep, just poppoed it in. They do trigger it, and even come up as "Tree" when you hit select. So it's not a matter of climbing trees so much as finding ones on the ground.

Yeah, it looks like only toppled-over trees can be moved on. There are a bunch of saplings in the poison goo which register under the same Geomancer effect, but they can't be walked on.

That one really tall tree in Bariaus Valley, over towards the panel of solid ground in the water that you can create a chokepoint for non-flying monsters on... I've always wanted to get up there with Mustadio and pick off some targets.
