I'm not a big fan of award shows, and wouldn't watch this one normally, but one of my best friends from high school is playing behind Mariah Carey tonight. I don't know how he got on it, but he is one lucky bastard. If you watch, look for a tall black guy with dreadlocks playing the trumpet.

Well, this whole performance with Aerosmith and Sly is downright embarassing. I feel sorry for all parties involved.
Omg, Omg, I stand corrected. Jay-Z, Linkin Park, and Paul McCartney all singing "Yesterday, My Troubles Seemed so Far Away" together is much much worse. I saw as much of it as I could stand. I really only watched it to see my best friend (still in High School, like me) on there. He was in like the 6th row from the very front center. He is the lead trombone for the grammy band (they play for the post-grammy parties and pre-grammy stuff...it sounds like an amazing time), so he, along with the rest of the band, were given some pretty amazing seating.
What an awesome experience that must be. -------------------- Is PJ |

All bad performances aside, I was impressed with the awards themselves.
Most of all, I'm glad to see Mariah NOT get Best Album. Though U2 would NOT be my first choice, it's not too bad. At any rate, I am very happy for Ms. Clarkson. She's come a LONG way since American Idol. Not one, but TWO Grammys? Way to go Kelly. Green Day also got Best Record, but thats not too hard to believe, is it? I read on Yahoo News today that American Idol crushed the Grammys in ratings.
