I definitely like the scene you set up for him, but I'd always imagined Dycedarg as a little older and thicker.

Well, if I ain't mistaken, he's only in his late 30's. Also, I, for one, never imagined him as having a Super Man physique. His concept art, which I looked to as a model for me drawing, seems to mirror me sentiment.
Thanks for the comment, though -------------------- |

I never meant that he was some sort of superman, or some decrepit old man, more that he seems older than he appears.
However, seeing your inspiration, I agree with your portrayal. I can't believe I'd never seen that artwork before. |

Did you draw the Capricorn stone as it's shown in the scene with Rofel? The actual stone is shaped like a bull's head with one horn, but since that's something only I would pick at, disregard it.

That would be the scene I was going for, Shotgunnova, although the design ye described might just be part of the whole stone, ye know, etched on the ball...yeah, that's it
And yeah, I do, indeed, plan on doing more characters. In fact, I already have, albeit in a different thread and in a somewhat different style. But, hey, what collection of FFT fanart's complete without Ramza and Delita, right? We'll see... -------------------- |

I love support for my favorite FFT villain. You drew Dycedarg very nicely and the pic is very well-done. More love for Dycedarg!

In me apparent trend to avoid the two main FFT characters, I've gone back to a character I have already drawn before:
Algus #2 Edit Lost it in imageshack, if ye really wanna see it, it's in the site's fanart gallery. Have a looksee. Galsic [email protected] 151kb 976 X 1115 0.5 mech pencil Me last Algus was, IMO, rather weak and I felt an improved drawing of him was in order. Don't know why, but when I do fanart, I always feel a wee bit out o' me element... This post has been edited by Galsic on 23rd November 2005 01:00 -------------------- |

Grr, I can guess where he's aiming with that! You did a good job of capturing his boyish idiocy without resorting to some bland context, like sticking his tongue out as he fingers his weapon (etc.). The left eye in his frontal head shot seems kind of off, but that may just be my imagination.
And I liked your last Algus, but this one's still an improvement. I feel like punching him he's so innocently malicious...almost. Must be the nose I never knew he had. =p This post has been edited by Shotgunnova on 20th October 2005 22:27 -------------------- It's gonna be a glorious day I feel my luck can change |

Hmmm, I ought to branch off into another game one of these days (SOOOO many more cool FFT characters left to do, though). Anyhoo...
Here's Ovelia trying to play her reed flute (or, at least the way I know how to). Edit Ack! I didn't realize the image behind this drawing showed up, too. Bleh, I'll have to do something about that another time. Edit There, I put it through MS Paint, erased the extra image, and patched up the erased area as best I could. Oh and before I forget...size: 124kb 736 X 1392. This post has been edited by Galsic on 2nd December 2005 12:12 Attached Image -------------------- |

Ha, yeah I can see something behind it. Can't quite make it out though.
Very well done. Can't spot anything wrong with it. It seems to have a simple charm to it. I like the lining on her cape. The design at the bottom of her robe is pretty sharp too. Did you get that from somewhere or make it up? -------------------- -- You're Gonna Carry That Weight -- |

Hmm. I've never played a reed flute that way. You know what it kinda looks like she's doing? The old "crack your nose" trick, where you flick your thumbnails off your two front teeth so it sounds like you're cracking your nose. You know what I mean?
So, in technical terms, it looks good, but pose-wise, it's awkward. -------------------- Some ghost of me might greet my son the day he is delivered. Eternal Sleep, Track 1-1: The Blue Planet |

Don't remember the Zalera guy. He seems well done, except for the feet. They look off to me.
The Elmdor and Co. one is great. Elmdor looks good on his own, but I really like the two girls. They turned out real well. You did a good job of making them look alike, big freaky hand aside. Where is the hand from anyway? -------------------- -- You're Gonna Carry That Weight -- |

I'm glad you like that, cuz making the second one with the funky hand look halfway like the first one was kind of a pain for that very reason. Now then, I don't know how familiar you are with the game's plot, but... Possible spoilers: highlight to view the ladies aren't human. They're ultima demons and they transform during your last fight with them, hence the hand. -------------------- |

Dragon Breath! I like her stance and the rest of her looks good all around.
There are just two things that bug me about the pic. Her left eyebrow looks raised, giving her kinda a puzzled look. Not that obvious but there you go. The other is her navel looks off center. -------------------- -- You're Gonna Carry That Weight -- |

Excellent job with Elmdor and Co.
Zalera's feet do seem a bit out of place. I think it may just be the angle though. He seems like he's leaning forward too much |

As for the navel, that was intentional. When your whole upper torso is twisted, the navel's gonna be off center in relation to the chest, at least, that's the sense I tried to give. And leave the feet alone! Can't y'all see he ain't getting da ladies as it is? The guy had to create his women, afterall...har har! Yay! Finally someone else does Reis fanart! I like the effect of making the flame\ice\lightning semi-transparent, it looks nice. But why make her look sort of fat? I thought she was meant to be like, you know, beautiful and slim and that sort of thing...

You think my Reis looks fat, huh? Well, her body is somewhat foreshortened (she's leaning slightly forward). Also, what you're seeing here is only from the knee up, if that. If that doesn't satisfy, well I, personally, feel she's plenty slim enough. Any more and she'll begin to look disproportioned to me.

Not fat, i meant. But kind of wide for a female character...and that's wide not stomach-wise but sideways. Or maybe it's just a different drawing style that I have and it's not the same as yours, so my perception differs...
