It's been awhile since I've been here. I was bored and started looking at all the posts I've made here and I've got a question...
How have you changed since you started on this forum, in the months, years or whatever? -I used to be a VIII-hating nazi. But now I have an appreciation for the game. -I've changed from english guy to Politics guy since I've joined here. -Tifa got a lot cooler since I posted once that i didn't like her. -I beat FF Tactics!!!!!! -I got a date! There's more, but I don't have a good memory. If you're not sure how your changed or haven't been here in a while, check some of your old posts. I forgot I protested against schoolwork when I was a freshman. And my haiku-fetching friend, I wonder if he still remembers? -------------------- Really Random Quote of the Day: "Short of changing human nature, therefore, the only way to achieve a practical, livable peace in a world of competing nations is to take the profit out of war." - Richard M. A lot. I was just reading through some of my old posts. My vacation to San Diego, and first concert. Since then, I've been with my only long term gF for soon to be 3 years now.
I'm not much into RPGs or videogames anymore, not nearly like I used to anyways. But this forum is great enough for me to keep coming around. I'm also in College now, and no doubt not nearly as dumb as I used to be. In most of my old posts I just sound so immature, it's annoying. I'm a lot more political than I used to be. I'm also a lot more opinionated. I'm no longer an introverted recluse. I actually went out for basketball sometime after joining the forum and became pretty popular, but looking back on that, man high school in general was so lame, all those stupid cliques. -------------------- The clouds ran away, opened up the sky And one by one I watched every constellation die And there I was frozen, standing in my backyard Face to face, eye to eye, staring at the last star I should've known, walked all the way home To find that she wasn't here, I'm still all alone -Atmosphere "Always Coming Back Home to You" |

For me, quite a bit actually. I have more appreciation for the older, classic FF games, though I still love the newer ones and some of the political, current events, and other non-gaming related forums that are posted just about every day has given me more of an open-mind than I had before.

You know what? I can credit these forums to a lot of major changes in my personality. When I first got here, I was obscenely annoying. Though I didn't use terms like "u" and such, I had the literary skills of a 4 year old. Comma? What's that!? I looked at everything like a joke and didn't care one little bit about the trouble that I could and would cause. Hey, who cares? My post count was high and it was all good.
Then, after an extended time of being obsessed with being the living incarnation of annoying and "evil", R51 stepped in and set my post count back. Shortly after even, he removed the old General Topics section from the forums, due to bandwidth issues and such. It was around that time I sort of got the anvil dropped on my head. It was tiring being so annoyingly unpleasant, have the members think more of you as a desprate attention seeking mental aslyum escapee than a fellow member. So I grew out of it. I've been at the CoN a few years now and over that time, I've learned a lot from the people on these forums, not only about the others on here, but about myself as well. I've developped into a slightly more intelligent person, developped a vocabulary that included other things than "I AM EVIL" and "YOU SUCK", hell, I've even learned to be nice to people. Sometimes. For money. I've been away for the CoN numerous times, sometimes for extensively long periods, but regardless, I've kept some of things I've picked up here in mind. I thought, coming here, I'd learn about videogames. I picked up a bit more, and I'm happy for that. Corny? Sure. It's true though. I still hate Locke and FF VIII though, with a blind rage. -------------------- Okay, but there was a goat! |

Success! Someone hates Locke besides me! I used to love him and all, but then the act just got stale. Besides, he's not terribly great in combat. But back to the topic at hand...I remember someone! Tidu-who looks familar! I think he was pretty active in that Iraq war topic a couple of years ago. I was rabidly against it like no one's buisness, but now I'm still against it, but I can back it up with facts now! Oh yes...damnable high school cliques, college>>>>>>>high school. (I apologize for the opinions and the like, except for the college>thing, which is not an opinion.) -------------------- Really Random Quote of the Day: "Short of changing human nature, therefore, the only way to achieve a practical, livable peace in a world of competing nations is to take the profit out of war." - Richard M. Well, a few things happened, some being more noteworthy than others:
* I used to despise Final Fantasy VII because the extremist fans; have become more lenient * Really gotten into the Sonic Games * Stopped believing in SE (because of the new ports) * Slowed down on the SW fanaticism -------------------- Could you repeat that? |

When I first started posting here it was just before I quit my job and literally took a year off from life. I applied for disability for a psychiatric condition and was on it for about 10 months I think. During that time I went to school a little bit but due to some health problems I was unable to keep up and stopped attending.
I got my first retail job in August of 2003. I got my first 4 traffic tickets after having driven for 6 years. I got a wonderful new job out of the retail industry. I got my own apartment again I got a new car after the car accident. Now attitude and personality, I"m not sure what I can say about that. I know I've changed but I can't exactly pinpoint it. -------------------- Elena Indurain Currently Playing: Suikoden II |

I haven't been here a year yet but...
Possitive points: I have myself a lovely red motorcycle, I have more friends who I have a better mutual respect with, I stand up for myself more, am more confident and am more assertive. ![]() Negative points: I am no longer with my girlfriend who I was with for over two years. ![]() That could be seen as a good thing though, as hopefully I will find someone I am better suited to. Nothing hugely life changing to be honest. New year's resolution is to be more positive at work! Seems to be working well so far! -------------------- 'Let that be a lesson to all oppressive vegetable sellers.' |

Um, I've only been here since last April. But, now, I type my post using correct grammar. And, I guess, less of the old 'OMG! I looooove moogles! They r just soooo cute! Omigod i want a moogle. my cat looks like one but that don't count! omg MOOGLEZ!!!' But, I haven't really changed all that much. No - I used to have long hair. I cut it short!
