If you're talking about the VERY last fight, after the One Winged Angel fight, then yes. I found it easy. It was supposed to be, since it was more part of the script than anything else.

I did. The Jenova's took a few KotR each, and as Atma mentioned, the rest was in the script.

Well, that was very inciteful.

Yeah I know. To be honest, I found it impossible.

Which one are you talking about? One Winged Angel or the final battle with Sephiroth that you can't lose because of Sephiroth's programming?

One-Winged angel was easy because of KoTR and Omnislash, Sephiroth was easy because you CANNOT lose. Full stop.

I would've liked a final showdown between Cloud and Sephiroth though, a proper one, i mean.

I liken that last "battle" to the first fight with Lavos in CT (in which case, you're supposed to LOSE, as opposed to the fight with Sephiroth).

Not true, Galsic! Losing in that particular CT fight is optional! If you win, you get to see one of the more difficult to view endings!

The first time I fought him, I found his first form difficult because a) had no clue as to which part to attack to kill him (besides the arms, I mean) and cool.gif I only used 3 characters through most of the game, accidentaly switched to secondary party. do'h!

Everything else was easy

Well I did say "supposed to lose, " not "can't win," but, ah, I see your point.

In reality, I found it kind of a relief that the final Sephiroth showdown was the way it was. Personally, I found it redundant and kind of ridiculous how ye had to fight 3 different versions of Lavos in the end of CT and I, for one, didn't need that from Sephiroth.

I was somewhat disappointed with the final battles, don't get me wrong they were awesome but after the final showdown I felt kind of... I dunno, hungry?

Maybe I over-prepared, I came with full limit breaks and still had fury on (Cloud Yuffie Cid was party) and I just lashed out with level 3 limit breaks since I forgot to put the level 4 ones on. Plus I had Mp Turbo-BahamutZero, Quadra-Ultima, Mp Absorb-Comet on one of my chars...and I was packing megalixers just incase.

But I still like those fights anyway

(psst, this is my first post and I already typed this much)

the final fight was cool, it took a long time to beat him kinda, of course it usually takes a while if you drank a gallon of water and you gotta pause every 5 minutes to go pee, I also didn't have KoTR

Has anyone tried going through the game with Cloud having the least amount of HP possible, so when you get to the final battle, Sephiroth will kill him, or does Sephiroth have a program where he is only allowed to do Cloud's HP - 100 damage?

Obviously the scripted bit was near-impossible, but the rest wasnt too bad. I keep starting new games cos I love the buzz you get at the start of it! (first few hours)

I haven't played in much longer than that but I can figure these things out for myself.

KoTR stands for none other than Knights of the Round

And Lavos is a boss in CT which stands for guess what? Chrono Trigger

Maybe you should try reading up on these things biggrin.gif

I actually managed to finish him off in 1 move. but on my crappy save (no KoTR, no chocobos, no omnislash/W-Summon), it took me a barrage of 20 mins of moves

But in the very last fight in the game you get Omnislash even if you didn't have it.

I remember the first time I beat the game, when I saw that I had to fight Sephiroth again and ALONE I was like POOP, I'm dead. When I saw that Limit Break text box with OMNOSLASH written on it I was like WTF! I didn't have OMNISLASH!! OK button was pressed and the rest is history!

Now, it would've kind of cool for that VERY last fight to actualy be a REAL fight, where if Sephiroth kill you we could've been able to see another ending, an EVIL ending where meteor crashes into Midgar and we get to see how the planet begins a new age of misery and darkness and at the end we would get to see Sephiroth beggining to absorb the planet's healing energy just like he planned, but HOLY AERIS, Lifestream and Happy Endings is all we get!!

I have a quick question, now that I remember:
The first time I fought Sephiroth on the CPU, it didn't make me set up a secondary party.

Not that it was important, but did this happen to anyone else?

It has happened to me, but is not a big deal. I think it happens so you don't have trouble against Bizzaro Sephiroth, something like that, but anyway, can anyone really find Sephiroth difficult?

When I defeated Safer Sephiroth, I thought this was supposed to be the hardest battle. Sephiroth attacked first, and I was impressed because I parry to see what he got, and he dealt to me around 5500 damage!!! , and I defended!! , well of course Cloud counterattacked, and the fight was over. I've heard that its impossible to lose this fight, no matter what.
