me. I am terified of roches, I hate them. reasons I hate them are:
1.THEIR HARD AS CRAP TO KILL!!! 2.some are REALY big!! 3.you never know when your going to see them, becase they can hide in smallest of places. 4.If you see one, you can bet their are hundreds more! I dont know why but I FREAK OUT if one comes near me. All my friends laugh at me because Im scared of them, and the most horrifiying thing (in my oppinion)that has ever happend to me was when one of my friends thought it would be funny to put a rouch in my shirt, and he did. OHH MY GOD!!! I started panicing try ing to get it off me, but it keep crawling on my body, and finaly went down my pants. I screaming by then. after I finaly got it off my friends just stood their laughing, I felt so embarresed. MAY ROUCHES ROT IN HELL, FOR ALL INTERNITY!!!!!!! -------------------- In the begining their was nothing... then god said "let their be light".... and it was good. |

.....Roaches.....
Yeah, me too. They are disgusting, vile creatures who will unfortunately be living long after I've returned to my original form.... |

Sharks. I will not go more than shin deep into the ocean even though I live in the north Pacific and there are not actually any dangerous sharks up here... Jaws has nothing to do with it.
Beyond that, if I can't see the bottom in ANY body of water I'm not doin' it, k! That's mainly due to my lack of strong swimming skills. Besides, who knows what's down there... And spiders! Love 'em. Just keep them away from me. This post has been edited by ultimage on 21st November 2005 07:36 -------------------- Quote Do you think we're forever? |

I'm with Mal. Heights scare the hell out of me. I have other fears, of course... some worse than heights, even... but heights, they make me pee in my pants.

Without going into excessive detail, probably the threat of my two near relatives hurting my close family after their scheming, theft, and 'legal' murdering of my grandparents leaves them destitute.

I don't have anything against living creatures since it's my own belief that anything that's alive is equal in importance, whether it be human, bug, plant, or whatever. </theological discussion>. However, house fires scare the crap outta me. I guess the idea of losing everything one takes for granted, like clothing or beds, just freaks me out.

Altough it's not a problem, my guess would be height. I have sometimes the feeling that the wind will grab me and throw me away if I stay too close to an edge. Even with that, I can fight my fear wich isn't worse than to average people.
It's not really a problem at all... It's just that there isn,t really anything I really fear. -------------------- Sayonara |

Trekkies.....
not really the only thing i have ever been afraid of is heights (more like falling, because i would picture myself falling) although being the type of person that i am, i decided to overcome my fear by spelunking, and several other wall climbing activities, so now when i am up high, i just shudder, then continue on it's a good feeling when you know you've overcome your one and only fear -------------------- "Have you ever seen a baby do that before?" |

I believe there's a similar topic several pages back.
Anyhoo, my biggest, greatest, and most horrifying fear of all fears is... CLOWNS. Ever since my very first circus visit, I've been a clown magnet. They flock to me wanting a hug, or a pie in the face, or the very worst of all - wanting to force their balloon animals on me! And the way they juggle and ride unicycles upside down at the same time! There's NOTHING funny 'bout that; it's... otherworldly. And those freaky smiles and multicolored wigs and... and... BIG SHOES!! It's just wrong. WRONG!! ~ Seriously, a real-life clown is the only thing that truly paralyzes me in fright; I even had to run to a nearby restroom and vomit outta uneasiness years back at a parade. And yes, such a thing is quite embarrassing. -------------------- Words of Wisdom: If something can go wrong, it will. If anything simply cannot go wrong, it will anyway. If there is a possibility of several things going wrong, the one that will cause the most damage will be the one to go wrong. - Murphy’s Law Boing! Zoom! - Mr. Saturn |

Death. Whether it be my own, my family, or my gf. Also, even more so is being forgotten. You die, people are sad for a while, but then they get over it. And you are forgotten, you barely even existed, your life was meaningless in the long run.

two things really freak me out:

People with excessive baggage that try and latch on to you. It's one thing to be friendly. And its entirely another when someone only wants a relationship with you because you barely have any problems and have strong will and your targeted because you have something that other people threw away long ago, whether it be dignity or self respect. And when it happens consistently then it becomes scary.

I'm afraid of the dark. Particularily when I'm alone in the house or if I'm out in the wilderness at night. Sometimes I'm completely imobilized in terror at night, and camping can be so difficult. I'm sure I've got major bladder damage from holding it all night long until sunrise. It usually is the feeling of there being something there, and I can't see it. Thunderstorms at night are scary too because if there's a tornado, you can't see it coming until it's too late.
I suffer from night terrors too. I'll wake up in the middle of a terrible nightmare and truly believe that whatever was happening to me in the dream is still happening in waking life. Except that I'm in bed and whatever is there is now standing in my bedroom. And it can even be something like my husband dying in a plane crash, hearing him breathing beside me doesn't make the absolute terror go away. It can take up to an hour for me to close my eyes again and actually move from the position I was petrified into. It's terrifying even to blink or breathe in that state. 24 years old with the fears of a child. ![]() -------------------- The first duty in life is to assume a pose, and the second duty is...well, no one's found out yet. |

Hmmm... biggest fear... Heights. Just being able to find 1,000 ways to fall and get killed is why. Also, those metroid things in Metroid Prime. I think that its stupid for me to be afraid of them, but i am.

it's kinda odd and kinda stupid apparently but I'm terrified of clowns and I have been since I saw Stephen King's IT when it first came out and it just seems to be getting worse every time I see a clown (though IT makes me laugh more than scaring me now). other than that nothing scares me.

I am slightly afraid of hieghts for the sudden stop at the end of the fall more then anything. Besides that i am afraid of ticks and spiders, more or less, when their crawling on me.
ticks - because of the fear of me getting lime disease and the thought of it sucking my blood ![]() spiders - i dunno but seeing a spider just makes me stay aware of their presence no matter what to make sure it doesn't get on me. Besides that also the thought of it sucking my blood ![]() ... Also the thought of my dog dieing, i have already lost too many pets before they were old enough to let it die. I have fears, but a funny way of handling them... I am absolutly petrified by heights, but I am the lighting director at the City of Madison Civic Center. Maybe I want to protect others? Anywho, rejection is a biggy... My biggest fear above all others is of my little sister, that she will get raped or something. I am violently protective. Mostly because she is just starting the whole dating thing. Oh well...
