Keep advancing, eventually you'll enter a battle where it will be Golem v. two undead jerks. Just beat up the jerks before they beat up your new friend Golem.

youll run into him in the area where all the bones are. (where you find the bone armor, which you should just sell off ASAP.)
also, using the requiem song the wolf children give you in kelb should do about 2000 damage. (bards dont suck in this game ![]() This post has been edited by Zeromus_X on 19th November 2005 18:16 -------------------- |

(bards dont suck in this game ![]() I never sell the Bone Armor, although I rarely use it. The one place its infinitely handy is the ancient castle - silly exdeathsoul won't be able to instakill you with that junk on. As for Bards not-sucking, I disagree. Bards suck a good deal in this game, but they are useful for Requiem Song.. there's a couple places where I was glad to have that song: Possible spoilers: highlight to view Like the sea trench. It dishes out some nice damage to the enemies which win the "Ugliest 2D FF Enemies" award. Aside from that song, I don't think I ever use Bards. At least dancers get cool stuff like ribbons and semi-useful dances (how can the character NOT control what freakin' dance they're doing??? Are their feet controlled by evil soul-sucking shoes???). Bards get harps. Man, I bet Galuf feels like a tool when he busts out with those ragin' song chords while Faris is busy beating them over the head with Excalibur. -------------------- Oh sure, I don't have to get kicked in the junk to activate it, but I like it anyway. -- Thief commenting on the difference between Throw and Blue Magic. |

Quote (WildHalcyon) Bards suck a good deal in this game Actually, I disagree, because they were quite for confusing stuff for no MP cost. It was quite fun to use that as I was leveling up Bard. Plus, getting the songs was also pretty fun. But back to the topic: Possible spoilers: highlight to view yeah, you'll have to run from the ????-only battles or wait for the ???? to run, then fight the other monsters when Golem appears with other monsters. Why they make you save a guy who hits-and-runs you is beyond me, but...whatever. I do have to wonder, though, Possible spoilers: highlight to view what would happen if you killed either ???? or let Golem get beaten up? -------------------- Check the "What games are you playing at the moment?" thread for updates on what I've been playing. I've done both of these. You can still encounter the battle again, either way. In my monk scc, I defeted him (I got ahead of myself, and had 1 monk ready to attack after I beat the last one, and he pounded the poor golem). wats SCC, im curious...?
![]() Moderator Edit It's not worth another post, so I'll just edit the answer into your post. SCC stands for "Single Class Challenge", during which you use the same class for all 4 characters through the entire game, beginning to end. Refer to this page for more info. I find it odd, though, that you have a page on your very own site describing what a SCC is. Did you just forgot about that page? -Caesar This post has been edited by Caesar on 20th November 2005 03:29 -------------------- Enuo - Horror Elder's Tree - Birthplace X-Death - Exceeding Death Neo X-Death - New Exceeding Death X-Death Nightmare - Exceeding Death's Possibilities OR shadow Exodus - Exit or Departure OR leaving one's homeland FFV - Bounce |
