The first peopl( only people) who Have sent me a personal Message was R51, Neal, And Dragon_Fire. They all seemed pretty nice to me when I was new. Dragon_Fire is still nice to me ! What about everyone else. Who do you consider to be good friends with on CoN , and No_Name

I know R51, Neal, karasuman, and Rubicant from an AOL forum that existed before CoN, so them.

I never had many one on one conversations with people when I first joined, but I did join some other people's sites.

So I guess the first people I really talked to directly on these forums were The Gambler, Phunbaba and Shinrin.

I knew about five or six people (Tommah, Neal, and R51 among them) before I signed up here. Not counting them, I think Elena99 was the first person I really talked to.

Aww, I feel left out, havent had a single message yet...
I think my first post was in one of teh creations, where I posted my MagiTek armor, and Narroratorway was teh first to respond.

Though while I was on TAPanime forums, A person who posted on the site a lot (one of the top posters back in the day) sent me a message and gave me a good rating for loving FFVI

On the forums: It's hard to say, but No_Name, MogMaster, mcclanahan, Zephir, Hikaroo, and Rujuken were the some of first people to respond to my first topics and posts.
In chat: Phoenix and MoogleGenocide were the first people who I had a conversation with.

My first one ever was a mock "Tiddles the Cat....A Fraud???" and it linked to a page with a black and white picture of the fattest cat of all time, Tiddles.


I knew Tiddles from another FF message board what seems like ages ago now. Probably 5 years at least.

I became a staff member in 2001, not long after I joined the forums, but I think it was... 1998? Something like that, when I first started talking to Josh. There were no forums, back then. None of this fancy stuff.

I probably met Tiddles, Neal, Rubicant, Phoenix and... Dragon_Fire? And other people at the same time. Whoever was staff. (No, DF was not staff, but he was already notorious around here when I signed up).

Oh! Gerad! I forgot about him. He's not around much anymore.

Probably Super_Moogle and Kappa, too, I think they were around then.

Yeah, I keenly remember a topic about the Cowboy Bebop movie that solidified my suspicions about whether you were a former AA member (anime anonymous natch ).

It has been way too long for me to remember, but I'll go out on a stretch and figure on Elena being one of the first people to respond to my topics since I started out here mostly posting my fanfiction. Although it might have been Josh. I think I made a post asking about protocol for posting work before I started doing it.

Most of the friends I got here are staff. Josh, 'Nise, Zephir I used to chat with often when he was around, ZH, Kame o' course, Hik when she was around, Sabin etc. Generally, most of the folks who been round here a while.

Yes, when we switched from the Ultimate Bulletin Board system to IkonBoard, there was no clever mass move function and we were unable to hand-write one that did the job acceptably. The systems were just wildly different, IIRC. So anything before 27 July 2002 went away, though I think we did manage to keep postcounts and such for existing members. It's all a little blurry now.

Like several others have already mentioned, a good portion of my staff over the years have been folks I met via the old AOL FF3 Message Board: Neal, Karasuman, Tommah, Rubicant, even - sigh - Rocky. I joined that MB about three weeks before CoN opened, I think. Outside of that, Elena99, as she mentioned, way back during CoN2, and I vaguely remember Sabin and I think JLombardi from CoN3. And then I remember Tiddles posting at my sad little pre-CoN4 message board, and not really liking him at all at first - but now, five years later, he's one of my best friends online or off.

Nobody really, except those that I have replyed to and who have replied to me are the only CoN members I can say that I know. I know I have sent some PMs to members of the administrative staff and to other members who post there creativity in My Creations and Site Submissions as I love it when people show off their creativity whether it be through drawings/art (which I wish I could do) or fan fiction.

Back in the days when I was crawling my way in the forums and wasn't in chat yet, I remember receiving a PM from Elena99, probably about being french and thus speaking french, which is still pretty rare around here. Also about animes and mangas.

After going to chat, I met the whole gang roaming there at that time: Rangers51, Tiddles, Neal, Elena, Hikaroo, SSJ_Cloud, Lilly, Murrrr, etc...

My first time was pretty much with Mr. Thou, who PM'd me about just over a year back now to elaborate on some FF etymology. Then, I think it was alittle past last Christmas that I first came to Chat, and the first people I really spoke with were R51 and MarquisElmdor.

I talked to Josh about affiliation. Good discussions spawned from there, including our love of photography.

Well; when I had first come here, it was at the request of an old member and good friend of mine, Jlombardi13, to check out a pretty sweet website/forum with a lot of cool FF3/6 related stuff. So I did.

I vaguely remember topics in the original General Topics about things like RPG Maker 2000. I don't remember who I met first; I remember annoying the sweet bejeezus out of most members for a good while.

If memory serves, the first few people were most of the old members and staff, R51, Elena99, Phoenix, Super_Moogle, Sabin, Kappa, Hikaroo, Twisted_Freak and AnarchistDream.

Seems like so long ago.
