Has anyone who has played both FFT and FFTA notice how similar Ramza and Marche look? Here are pictures of them: user posted image Marche and user posted imageRamza. Sorry, couldn't find good pictures in my computer. So what do you guys think? Is Marche based off of Ramza? Father and son?
Possible spoilers: highlight to view
In FFTA, Marche doesn't have a father. Might be Ramza!

The only similarities between the two will have to be aesthetic ones, because the Ivalice that exists in either game is two completely different regions. They kind of look the same, but then again, ninety percent of RPGs nowadays have blonde-haired, blue-eyed teenagers as their (Aryan) hero. happy.gif

Sounds like a good possibilty if FFTA was based [story-wise] on FFT, but I believe, they're not. It could be said that Marche was modeled after Ramza if anything.

I don't think they look that much alike, sure the both have blonde hair, but that really isn't enough to say they look that much alike (to be related etc.)

The only thing that really sticks out to me is that they both have strange hair

Yeah, I also noticed that the generic characters were all blonde. I would have liked a little difference now and again. A red headed female monk for example.

They look similar, and may have been similarly inspired, but I doubt they were meant to be related in a fanfiction-sense. They both look like blonde-haired versions of a generic slightly-long-haired white male RPG character.

Now, I don't know anything about Ramza's personality, so I can't say if personality would support a similarity or dissimilarity argument.
