At one time I was a pimp. I am not ashamed to admit it because I have come to terms with who I am. With that said, as a pimp you learn a whole different way of living and surviving on the streets. You're the protector of your women. They look to you as though you are their daddy and you should shield them from all that is ill in the world. By the same token you also have to discipline your ladies as though they are children at times because at times they act like it. Coming home late, eating all the cornbread, not having enough money, etc.

Anyway , that's my old way of life. My question is, have any of you ever dabbled in the street trade ie: drugs , pimpin' , ho'n etc?

Please. Do tell.

An interesting topic.

The worst I did was sell pot in highschool. I never delved any furhter though, as a cirtain circumstance put an abrubt halt to that. I was ripped off once for a large amount of cash. I got a hold of a 9mm gun and went to the guys house and barged in. No one was home. I thank Allah for that. Who knows how much different my life could have been?

I hear you , Brother Mongoose. To be honest, I have done a little time in con college. I had to discipline one of my ladies (of course, back then we didn't call them that) and I got over zealous with a braided coat hanger. 3 years later here I am. Dry assed jheri curl, serving coffee and bagels to the same jive assed turkeys who used to call me for my services.

It certainly is a hard knocks life.

A terrible situation. How long are you serving?

In any case, I hope that the open world will be ready to embrace you upon the day of your freedom.

No , no. I'm out now. I work at a coffee shop while trying to make enough money with my writing. But yea, I truly cannot afford the activator for my hair. You ever have a dry assed jheri curl?

Actually no, I am currently sporting a mullet. I usually don't have too many problems. With that.

Do you ever try to pass some 'tips' onto the younger generation?

I'm a pimp.

So am I. I pimp out Barbara.

Anyway, this topic might be better suited to PM if it becomes a simple conversation, but I'll wait for someone else to pass judgement.

1. Brilliant reply
2. This is about as far as this thread will go, I'm afraid.
