Given your screen name and the fact that I have no idea who he is, I'm going to have to go with no.

Hmm, let's see.
*googles* Boxing guy. Eh. Oh, he filed a lawsuit against some other guy named James Toney. Here's what wiki says: "Despite so far being a two-time world champion (most boxers never win one) who has only been knocked out once (by David Tua on March 15, 1996), Ruiz is widely viewed as an unworthy titleholder." He sounds like he was alright, I guess. I've never been big on boxing. -------------------- I had an old signature. Now I've changed it. |

WTF???
A boxing fan on this forum is extremely rare, and a John Ruiz fan anywhere is even more rare...because everyone hates John Ruiz... |

john ruiz is a pretty good boxer my friend. im not a big fan of his but ill admit that he's okay. roy jones did beat the hell out of him awhile back you know. however, i am not a roy jones jr fan either. for me, ive been watchin antonio tarver a lot, i think hes great but he has his weaknesses. jermain taylor aint half bad either, he did beat hopkins after all. anyways, back to ruiz, i dont necessarily think he rules because he has had his bad losses (like the one to roy jones) but he is a pretty good boxer.

Since I'm a Puerto Rican I AM a John Ruiz fan. It's only natural for us Puerto Ricans to be boxing fans, PR alone has 50 WORLD CHAMPIONS, second only to the US, preety impressive don't you think, consider the size of the island!
PR has produced far much exciting boxers than John Ruiz tought, such as Tito Trinidad, Miguel Cotto, Hector "MACHO" Camacho, John John Molina (Who by the way f'd up De la Hoya and left him peeing blood), Ivan 'Iron Boy' Calderon, and the other worthy I'm just not gonna mention! The problem with John Ruiz is that his just not a fan favorite, his trainer is an A hole, and Ruiz doesn't speak that much! I'm glad James Toney's steriod use was discovered! LOOKING FORWARD TO THE NEXT MIGUEL COTTO FIGHT!!!!! -------------------- PS3 tag: TipoDLuffy "...quite possibly the greatest game ever made" |

He certainly does not rule. Not even a colony. Not even a FIEF.

There is always going to be a new FF coming out, forever and ever for the rest of eternity, just because Square secretly owns the universe. I've never been a huge boxing fan, but from what I know of John Ruiz, he's really nothing to freak out over, infact, his career isn't exactly going to be getting put in any hall of fames or having any movies made about his life. I'm not going to say he rules, I doubt he'll be around that much longer. Still, he can fight, I'll give him that. -------------------- Okay, but there was a goat! |

John "Grab and Jab" Ruiz. The worst heavyweight title holder, he is. Left Don King, he has. Lose his title, he will.
Fallen to the dark side of the force, he HAS. But yeah, now that he's left King, his title will stop coming back to him like a boomerang. And he's fighting a giant next. Here's hoping he's gone for good. |
