I just thought of this cuz right now Im making pork-roast w/ sauerkraut.
It might also encourage you to try out new foods.

But my Favorite thing to make would have to be cornbread, collard greens, mashed potatos, and FriedChicken. I always help my friends mom make this finger-lickin' good soul-food dinner. We all eat with nothing but compliments of the food

I can cook rather well actually. My favorite thing to make is usually burgers if I have the appropriate spices to add to the patties. Grilled correctly I've never had a better burger.

Side-dishes for it are usually some sort of cheese rice with hot sauce and peas if I can get them. My mom isn't always home to cook so I learned smile.gif

Other than that, I know how to make a few really good deserts as well as these rockin cheese potatoes.

Second for entrees I guess would be Cajun chicken stirfry. Rice, chicken, spices, broccoli and cauliflower. Mix together and mmm. It's like sex only I'm having it. laugh.gif

I actually enjoy cooking.

I can't cook at all, so I'm limited to basic things and microwaveables. One thing I'll never grow tired of, however, which me and a friend chanced upon at age 11 whilst trying to come up with an alternative to pizza, is cheese on toast, made in the traditional 'toast bread - under the grill to melt cheese' way, but before sticking it under the grill, we decided to stick on some tomato puree and herbs. It's a great snack, very simple to make, and nice to have with chilli or just some cold meat on the side. Whilst my parents are away, I basically live off it.

I like making oatmeal drop cookies.

I'm pretty much confectionarily intuitive; I can make good desserts, so I like eating them always. Yay, sugar.

Poor man's spaghetti, if you don't know what that is you obviously don't have italian relatives (mi madre es medio italiano). but let me tell you this spaghetti is so much better without marinara sauce

Possible spoilers: highlight to view
Poor man's spaghetti: pasta, olive oil, parmesian cheese, very simple but tastes great, especially when you do it right, it takes an italian touch

This chicken casserole with cream of chicken soup and rice in it...magnifique! It's about the only dish I can make without having to read directions every five minutes, so I consider it a personal achievement of sorts. Besides that, it's canned and packaged food for me. tongue.gif

I absolutely love scrambled eggs--plain chicken eggs, lightly salted and scrambled, then pan-fried (I think that's the right term).

That's about all I have experience cooking.

I'd have to say vegan sushi.

I cook sushi rice using jasmine rice, then when it's done I add a mix of rice wine vinegar, salt and sugar. I cut up avocado, stirfry mushrooms in soy sauce, and cut up cucumber and carrots and pickled ginger. To eat, you spread the rice on the nori (dried seaweed sheets), then add a few fillings, maybe a little soy sauce.

I need to learn how to roll them with a bamboo mat.

Second would be spaghetti with tomatoes, crumbled tofu and grated carrot in the sauce.

Red Chicken Enchiladas. They're really quite tasty and such. I usually only make these if I have good 'fresh dried' chiles (usually when I go for a visit to NM) or company is coming over.

3 Chiles New Mexico (dried)
3 Chiles Pasilla (dried)
Garlic
Caldo de Tomate (Knorr's)
Oregano
Cumin (ground)
Corn Tortillas (tortillas de maiz)
Onion
Cheese (preferably Monterey Jack)
Chicken (preferably thighs or legs)
Chicken Broth/stock
Olive or Corn Oil

Boil chicken then remove skins and bones. Save broth and skim to remove fat. Remove seeds and stems from chiles. Boil till soft and remove skins. Add chiles, some broth to a blender/food processor and puree. Put the pureed chile sauce into pot with the rest of the chicken broth. Add chopped garlic, Caldo de Tomate, oregano, cumin to the chile sauce to taste. Bring to a low boil. In a frying pan, add 3/4" oil and bring to high heat. Fry corn tortillas in oil till slightly crispy (but still flexible). Drain each tortilla and get excess oil off. Put tortillas aside for later. Chop onions and shred cheese.

You can roll your enchiladas, but to do it New Mexico style, layer: tortillas, chicken, onions, cheese and sauce. Repeat till desired layer numbers. Bake at 350 for about 20 minutes.

My favorite thing to make is butter chicken as I call it. Butter chicken can come in different varieties but since it's made with butter, I imagine it is very bad for you. Butter chicken is very simple. You melt butter in a frypan and then you cook cut up chunks of chicken in it. It makes the chicken very juicy and very good. Every now and then I'll drain off the butter and then add Mr. Yoshida's gourmet asian sauce. I used to make it a lot when I first lived with roommates and my roommate Alicia would always complain about my greasy chicken pan. She didn't eat meat.

I can't really make a whole lot of stuff but my next stuff would be rice a roni (I'm currently addicted to the herb and butter flavor) and maybe make a boneless skinless chicken breast on my george foreman grill. No seasonings there but it's stil pretty good.

You guys should name them before I taste em. Come up with unique names like Kames' Famous going once Enchiladas, or even Elenas' Butter-Chicken Roll-out Combo! Or did you already give them names

Ye gods. When I was around 8-10, I did more or less the same thing, neg herbs and meats.

These days, I am capable of heating things, but not of actual cookery. At best, you'll find me possibly, at a strech, able to stick things in the oven without collateral damage or heat them in a pan. Fajitas qualifiy, becuase I am able to cook them. With luck. And a pan, obviously.

Scotland's food diversity generally only occurs after the english try it and don't die though. happy.gif

For me, its Ramen (creamy chicken and oriental flavors). I prefer the packages you can cook in a pot, but sometimes I get a craving for the noodle cups. And, I find enjoyment of eating it with chopsticks. I don't cook well either blink.gif

Fajitas baby.

I basically by the regular wraps from the grocery store. Coat some chicken breast with some spices and a little cajun sauces and grill it slow, then fry up some various spices with spicy red and green peppers, black olives, onions and sometimes mushrooms, if I'm in a bold mood. Of course, I mix in a bit of tabasco sauce with these as they fry so that it strengthens the spicyness. Then some chopped up salad and grated cheese for the inside and I'm set!

I've never truly figured out how to make the salsa or the sour cream so I just store buy premade ones and use that; which never seems to be a problem. I prefer a thick and spicy salsa. As you can probably obviously tell, I like my food really spicy. Fire breathing style.

I also make a killer Kraft Dinner; three packets of cheese per one serving of the noodles. You can literally stand your fork up in the center of the plate; it's brilliant.

The thing that I can cook best is what I have on the stove right now, as a matter of fact.

Chicken Stir Fry.

Grill up the chicken, chop it into strips, throw in some nice juices, boil up the noodles and toss them in their, brocolli and diced carrots, pinch of garlic, salt and pepper. Good stuff.

Soy sauce all the way. Can't say that I've made it with Westchester sauce, honestly.

Not much of anything; I dunno how to cook. Bad thing is that my most recent ex could, and it was all damn good! Made me so jealous. He'd conjur up things like fudge, all kinds of cookies, lamb, stuffed salmon (salmon with crabmeat stuffing inside), tacos, hoagies, snow crab 'n melted butter, several different kinds of soup, and the list goes on. They were all ridiculously yummy!

I, however, can boil. I sure as heck can't cook, but I can boil just about anything! You name it: Eggs, pasta, canned soup (okay, so I don't boil THAT one), uh... eggs...

I used to know how to make pork ribs, but I never liked them much and ended up forgetting.
