I haven't been round for some time, and I'm only on for while, so I have to be brief about this (blah, as if I could)...

This case is disturbing... to me at least.

Three days ago, here in Warsaw (Warsaw, Poland, for all those who would ask "In wich state?") there has been a "fake" terrorist attack.
A man Has placed, throughout the main communication streams of the city, fake bombs.
Fake bombs made to look real to experts at first glance and prepared even to fool police dogs.
Thirteen of these hjave been set by a single man, who, according to city-monitoring, afterwards went to an internet-cafe, from wich warning-mails were sent to numerous newspapers. At the end of the mail was recipe for a bomb. A REAL recipe.

The reasons for this were unclear. The mails said some things about retaliative action against the president of the city (a right-wing radical, a jerk and an idiot. Homophobe too.), who's at the moment running for president of country, from homosexuals-rights lobbys. (Obvious bs). Nobody believes it, and the gay lobbys themselves deny any relation whatsoever to this kind of actions.

This was kind of an unexpected, as we (as in Poland) more feared a terrorist attack coming from muslim radicals since we're allied witht the USA ont the whole "war-on-terrorism" thing.

Well, signing off now.. see you guys later.

I hope.

That's very peculiar indeed. Maybe he's just an angsty guy looking for attention? I know plenty of high schoolers who would pull off stunts like this, though at a much less extreme level.

And one by one I watched every constellation die
And there I was frozen, standing in my backyard
Face to face, eye to eye, staring at the last star
I should've known, walked all the way home
To find that she wasn't here, I'm still all alone

Your more than likely right Tidu-who. He probably wants attention. Most criminals want to be caught for the strangest reasons, noone knows why. I guess they get all the attention they need in a nice small room, with his cellmate Bubba, makin sure he aint drop the soap. Dnt worry when he gets out hell look back at His old cellmate and never have a bad thought again. Itll probably not happen from this guy again. Itys how the world works that seems to astonish me. No more worries SilverMaduin

He probably did it either to prove a point--that it would be easy to put real bombs in these places--or to play a prank. People do stuff like, albeit on a smaller scale, all the time, and for no greater purpose than to see the look on "their" faces.

I think I pretty much agree with karasuman.

So, if he was monitored somehow, is it possible to catch the guy who did it? Or did they catch him? If so, did he reveal anything about his motives in being questioned? And... is it possible for you, SilverMaduin, to know any of this or am I just wasting my time asking it?

Yes, have they caught him? I would like to know what the heck he was thinking?

It kinda does sound like he was caught. When SilverMaduin said something about city servalence, it kinda makes you think, did or didnt he get caught yet. But to me it sounds like he got his rights read to him

Briefly answering:
No they haven't caught him. They have only general info from the surveillance and unclear witness relations.
BTW, our police are...not very effective.

Yes, he made a point of how it was easy to bomb the entire city centre.

But the troubling bit, wich most people disregarded is, that he signed those e-mails, and here I quote, "GayPower and StrongFaggot", trying to shift the blame to homosexual environmets.

Man, I hate my country.
