Old video from E3 Squenix created to both show off the capabilities of the PS3, as well as tease everyone who remotely enjoyed the game.

Now you can get rumors abound.

"They said they wouldn't remake it for the PS3. Oooh, loophole. I bet it'll be on the Revolution! Or maybe the Xbox."

Until Squenix gives some sort of official statement other than "This is just a demo" all we really have is speculation.

Yeah, that video has been around for a while. Despite repeated mentions (at that convention and elsewhere) that that video does NOT, and I repeat, NOT announce ANY intention to remake FFVII for the PS3, there has still been speculation about a remake.

I think there's a topic around here about a possible PS3 remake, and whether Squenix would actually do it. General consensus was that they wouldn't, since they could spend their money doing something better, and a remake would compete with their own original-version FFVII because the PS3 is supposed to be backwards-compatible (i.e. can play PS and PS2 games).

I'd personally rather they show Aeris's face than her chest, as in the original FMV. However, it's possible that they still have trouble getting the face to look right, even in such high-tech graphics.

Actually they interviewed Nomura and he hints at it may be a possibility, but since Square-ENIX has many projects, even if they do consider, it will be a few years time.

Meh I'm satisfied with DoC comming out, no need to remake an already good game.
