Credit where credit is due. Since it appears that you have what people often call 'mad skillz' I thought I'd provide a little moral support.
By the way - somebody once said that being a professional means getting up and doing your job even on the days you don't feel like doing it. Personally, I think that clears up why it often sucks to be a professional. Stick to being a badass hacker and you'll be fine. And so will we. P.S. Some Umaro thoughts: 1. He doesn't join the party. Instead, you can use him as an Esper. His larger, slicker combat image flies in, summons a crazy blizzard and hurls your whole party at the enemy. Riotous damage is thereby inflicted. 2. He does join the party. However, rather than speaking in grunts and groans, he tends to quote elegant Shakespearian insults - before hurling your party members. 'Were I like thee, I would throw away myself' - from Timon of Athens. 3. To get him to join your party, you bet the Snow Muffler - or Ice Shield, or Blizzard, etc. - at the Colisseum. Then you have to beat him. 4. Terra morphs into...you guessed it. He could additionally be one of Edgar's Tools. Give him an 'Alpine Horn' or something - use it - and out he comes. I hope you aren't touching Setzer, by the way. I know he looks like the bass player from Poison, but still - he's my boy. Dr. Salt, Umaro is no longer a yeti; he's a sword.
![]() And Setzer is Golbez with a revised Dance command. Golbez is my boy. ![]() And you may be right about that professional thingy...I guess I could get back to work this weekend. -------------------- Is PJ |

Sorry, I couldn't resist posting a few of these. I had no idea Umaro could be so witty...!
-We leak in your chimney and your chamber lye breeds fleas like a loach (Henry IV Part 1) -Weed this wormwood from your fruitful brain (Love's Labour Lost) -What a maidenly man at arms you have become (Henry IV Part 2) -What a slave art thou to hack thy sword as thou hast done, and then say it was in a fight (Henry IV Part 1) -What hempen homespun have we swaggering here (A Midsummer Night's Dream) -What strange fish hath made his meal on thee (The Tempest) -Would thou were clean enough to spit on (Timon of Athens) And some others- Weak And Writhled Shrimp! White-Livered Runagate! Whoreson Cullionly Barbermonger! Whoreson Obscene Greasy Tallow-Catch! Wow, that last one's a zinger. -------------------- ONCE I LIVED IN UPPERCASE MY LIFE INTENSELY PHALLIC now i live in lowercase with the occasional italic |

I never noticed before, but did you join CoN solely for starting this thread? You've come a long way!

FBM, I had the hack started awhile before I joined this site and was running low on ideas. I had never really even humored the thought of releasing it to the public until I joined. I started the thread to ask the consumers what they would want to see in a product they might one day be playing.
As for whether or not that's why I joined, it is definitely one reason. This was the first forum I ever joined; I was always a little skeptical of them. I came across this site MANY times before I joined, but never did because of all those horroe stories of people tracking you down from a chat room convo (or something like that...whatever). Anyways, when I finally signed up, I asked for permission to start the thread so it wouldn't give the wrong impression ("hi I'm new here and I'm using the vast numbers of people here solely for their ideas and then I'm going to ditch them when I'm done"). After awhile, though, I got to know the members and became really comfortable here, and the thread became just a second or third priority. If that answers your question...which I'm not really sure it does. I have no expected release date as of now, but I expect it to be finished eventually. ![]() -------------------- Is PJ |
