Secret Boots

"Discreetly increases height!"

By about a pixel or so. How useless.

I have a theory of how this item came about, though. Noting how so much of the graphics in this game involve the 3D manipulation of pixel-based sprites, I surmise that someone messed with stretching Alucard's sprite, and then sadly found that there was no use in the game for that.

So they put in the Secret Boots just so that there would be some use, albeit irrelevant.

Got a better theory? Any other remarks about this item?

I always thought it was just a joke accessory. Even if did originally have a purpose, what the hell was that purpose? Even if the idea was conceived before the purpose was determined, I mean, come on. There is no conceiveable reason to have those in the game other than for ****s and giggles. Sorry, but I don't think there's much to your theory.

Perhaps in one of the other games he was one pixel taller and to make it the same they put those in.......................or.............

it's a Japanese game and they did what they're best at, being weird.
