I think the Blitzball minigame in FFX is cool and this topic is about what your team is and any good tips or strategies.

Here is my Team:

Bickson: Invisible Shot is unstoppable!

Shammi: Good balance of stats, that is what I like

Tidus: Of course he should be on every team, the Sphere shot Rawks!

Lakaam: Perfect Passing and good Atk

Balgerda: good atk and has good passing

Miyu: a good goalie that has high catch, Nimrook has some good Catch but I don't have him.

Larbeight and Tidus are my shooters, as they have the best shot in the game (and Tidus has Jecht shot 2, which is ungodly). Besides Keepa, of course, who gets 99 shot, but not until you get him to level 99. And he sucks until then.

Brother is my midfielder. His speed and pass are absolutely insane. Especially his speed. No one can keep up with him. Also, he is a one-man defensive force. He can catch anyone and tackle through just about anyone. My goalie can't level up because I can't MAKE them shoot in time.

Nimrook is my goalie. He has really good catch, but it's hard to level him up when the other team can't get a shot off because of Brother.

I forget who I have on defense, it's been a while since I've played. But it hardly matters with Brother.

I'm glad to see someone else liked Blitzball. Everyone seems to hate it, but I think it's awesome.

i had all the original playes, except i recruited brother becuz of his speed... i crushed every team i played with them too... sphere shot and Jecht shots 1 and 2 are unstoppable, and my goalie has super goalie feature

Brother's a cheater. Unless you play blitzball enough to the point where the players you play against have leveled up enough to have speeds even in the same realm of Brother's, he and Tidus are pretty much unstoppable by themselves. The game's AI is a little weak IIRC because you can get their entire team (minus the goalkeeper) to come chase Brother. Since he's a good passer, he can draw all of their players back towards your own goal and then chuck a long pass to Tidus, leaving him more or less contested right in front of the opposition's goal.

my team was the best i was like 20 or 30 levels above all other team.

Wakka, al the original Aurocks (i cant spell) i kept keepa cause at level 99 he has 99 shot highest in the game. once you get wakka ultimate shot i cant remeber havent played in a while. He adds any original aurocks players shot to his so his shot is always like 99 and it adds status effects to the golies i just shoot from across the field while lettting like 2 or 3 of the opponents try to block and i still make it. tidus is good but i hate him wakka is much better in my opinion. even though tidus has almost all higher stats except for shot. man i forgot the guys name but the dude that is white and has no hair and is a forward. well i like him cause he is fast fast fast...

but I personaly like brother, Ropp, Wakka, i cant remember my goalys name and then of coarse me o and Jassu

Aw, no Wedge and Zev users? You guys overlook the serious advantages of the two. Zev as a middle-forawrd can barrel through the opposition, pressuring them while strong-arming the left and right forwards. Wedge has SKY-HIGH endurance, shot, attack, speed, and block, meaning he'll steal the ball and score. I managed to score in 14 seconds from the previous score with him.

Tidus has Jecht Shot, you'd be stupid not to abuse that.

I missed getting Miyu, but she's a great goalie.

I use Kyou in right defense, since he can learn all level 3 tackles and passes.

I still have Jassu and Keepa, I haven't gotten around to getting anyone better.

Edit: Keepa's shot does max out at 99, jumping from 3 in the last 30 levels. Shootists don't get that high.

i remember the name of the skill wakka has its Aurochs spirit it cost 600 hp and it adds all of the original Aurochs players shot to his. It does not exceed 99 though which makes me mad because mine would be like 150 or 160! I still kept all the original aurochs like Letty, Keepa, man i dont know why i forget their names but all original people!
