Does anyone know where to get the masamune? you can't steal it from Elmdor and I'm having no luck with the Ninjas in Midnights deep.

Any idea's?

If you go to Lionel castle (or some other city near the southern-most part of the map) sometime in chapter four (probably further into it than earlier) then there's a thing with Beowulf where you can steal a masamune, maybe two. That is, of course, if you have completed all the Beowulf stuff.

no you cannot steal it in that battle, however you can get it by doing co-op and vs. battles

I've played a quite a few melee matches on 2 player but I haven't won one yet. Does anyone know the chances of winning a Masamune?

i dont but i do know that winning increases the number of items you receive, however i dont believe it changes the rarity of items. e.g. my buddy lost and won a masamune while it took me getting it through story mode to get it from beowulfs homie (you cannot steal it, after you beat both battles you get one)

If there was a another sidequest involving beowulf I think i missed my chance, so no stealing one from that . I'll keep battling my friends and hopefully I'll get one.

I remembered I had two save files. I'm at mullonde and I followed a reis kidnapped guide and after the battle I'm supposed to go to lionel for the event to happen, but it didn't, what am I doing wrong?

go read that and it should give you all the info you need.

BTW like i said before you CANNOT STEAL masamune, it is impossible however you will be rewarded with one after completing both stages.
the guide says you can but you cannot because of that same skill elmdor has, which pissed me off considerably

You can steal the Masamune from a Samurai inside of the Lionel Castle, where you fight against Bremondt, 2 Mystic, 2 Ninjas and 2 Samurai, i make Ramza a Thief and stole Barette, Masamune, Chantage, Salty Rage (I don't remember the PSP name of the Salty Rage) and Cachusha.

Yeah you can steal it in that fight against Bremondt
