Biography
Simon is the chief monk of the monastery at Orbonne, the setting for the first scenes of the game and one returned to several times. He oversees the theological teachings that take place there, and for a time was an instructor of divinity for both Alma and Ovelia, who studied there together and became friends. He oversees the vast stacks that make up the Church of Glabados' library.In those stacks are the keys to the ruin of not just the Church of Glabados but also all power in Ivalice. Simon studies but conceals these scriptures for many years, making notes and translations along the way, until he relinquishes them to Ramza with his dying realization that they are the only way to expose the truth and stop the church from taking over the continent.
