Biography

The lord of Zeltennia, Goltana leads the Black Lion, in contrast to Larg of the White Lion. He backs Ovelia as the heir to the throne, in the hopes of controlling the kingdom as her regent, and this opposition to Larg is the core conflict that begins the War of the Lions.

Goltana's scheming for the throne requires him to hire Delita to protect the princess until she can be stashed away inside the walls of Zeltennia. His desperation becomes perilous for Ovelia, by which time Delita has largely decided that his strongest loyalty lies with her, and he murders Goltana in the aftermath of the battle of Bethla Garrison.

Also known as the "Duke of the Black Lions", from his family crest, taken from the double headed crest of the Kingdom. One of the leaders during the Fifty Year War, he is under the Nanten Knights, rivals of the Hokuten Knights.
