Balbanes Beoulve

Balbanes Beoulve

Biography

Balbanes is the patriarch of House Beoulve as the story begins. A hero of the Fifty Year War, his deeds paved the way for the rise of House Beoulve to high status in Gallionne. Dycedarg, Zalbag, Ramza, and Alma are his children from his two wives. Balbanes is ill throughout Chapter One and dies of his sickness before that prologue chapter is complete.

As the story unfolds, Zalbag overhears Rofel taunt Dycedarg about the latter's use of poison to kill his father and usurp the head of the house; Balbanes died so that Dycedarg could leverage House Beoulve to take power as one of the Lucavi.
