Biography

Born in Bervenia hundreds of years ago, Ajora was, as per legend, a prophet and preacher from birth. Eventually developing a cadre of disciples through his travels across Ivalice, he met his end at the gallows as the established Ivalician church saw him as a threat and heretic. His death was the catalyst for his disciples' elevating him to the divine, which led to the institution of the Church of Glabados, the prevalent religion of modern Ivalice.

Whether Ajora was truly a saint, or just the leader of a cult of personality, is obscured and buried by the Church for a millenium. However, the scholar Simon locates a book, written by an excommunicated disciple of Ajora, that shows that the saint was not only of earthly origin, but also was not the moral paragon expressed by later teachings - he was a spy and potentially even after the Zodiac Stones himself when hanged, the very source of the machinations tearing apart modern-day Ivalice. One thing is for certain, when Saint Ajora is resurrected into a new body, the result is not benevolent.

Brave Story Entries

Born around 12 centuries ago, in Bervenia of Lesalia. Raised in Milodos. Spoke of the arrival of a kingdom of a higher source, as feelings of antipathy grew from Father Fara. Executed as a traitor by the Holy Empire of Yudora. Soon after, the capital of the Church of Fara became submerged under sea, by an extraordinary natural phenomenon. Those disciples of Ajora believed this was his miracle, and these stories spread, and the Glabados Church became what it is today.
