I voted for Edge.

He was a good fighter and his magic was good in specific cases. But all-in-all, definitely a loser. His dialogue was poor choice for a ninja.  Same with his development and story-line. Very unfit for the type of character he was. His throw technique was weak and his steal skill was just horrible.
And let's face the fact...... Yang >>> Edge... I'd much rather have Yang than Edge

I don't like Edge's personality. He's the cocky hotshot that would be best played by Tom Cruise if a movie were ever made of Final Fantasy IV. I really don't like those type of characters. He's womanizing, hot tempered, and full of himself (and his skills). Of his skills, the only one that really appealed to me is throw. If you have good things to throw, then the command is worthwhile. His magic is pretty pathetic. I use Cecil's weak white more than I do Edge's ninja magic.

I put Tella because he has all these spells, but almost no MP, is so pathetically weak in every area, and has Zero growth and growth potential.

FuSoYa...something bout him just rubbed me the wrong way. You know those type of people that just do that to you? I mean sure he's all powerful with his White AND Black magic, something that is rather rare on the Blue Planet, but he's just...i dunno...strange. I mean he turns into a puddle when he dies, c'mon, who does that, honestly? Sorry for this rant, but that old guy just creeps me out.

Edward : definitely the most useless character I ever encountered...

I will also place a vote against Edward. He did low damage and died quickly. Sing was useless, Hide was crappy, and Medicine was a decent skill. If he hit more often and did better damage he'd be a much better character, IMO.

Yeah, I actually like everybody.  (I'm such a sweetie!   )

Some of the characters were pretty annoying in battle (coughEDWARDcough), but I still liked the actual characters.  All of them had a purpose, and they were all well-developed.  Oh, and we didn't have anyone with an exceptionally annoying personality (coughSELPHIEQUISTISZELLYUFFIEREDXIIIRIKKUcoughhackcough). FFIV is the only Final Fantasy game for which this in true, in my opinion.

I thought his throw technique was awsome. I used it alot and it's not weak at all ! And the throw technique really works well on bosses (Including Zeromus).

I liked everybody. Of course there were certain things out of certain people that I didn't like (Edge's unbelievable brashness, Tellah's Max/MP, Edward's fighting skills, etc.), but nothing seemed too bad. I mean, everyone's got their strengths and weaknesses (yes, even Kain!), and even Edward had his strengths (yeah... human shield for one thing , and his harp's attack was actually pretty useful in terms of status effects (at least for me)).    I should shut my mouth now before someone stabs me.

I liked everyone even though Edge was underdeveloped and Tellah and Edward really taught you how to be thankful for Yang and adult Rydia.  The only thing I don't like about the characters is that almost all of them are subject to bouts of indestructability.  FF4 my buddy..... could you please not kill 80% of the characters and then tell me they miraculously survived?

Call me crazy, but I LIKE Edward. Sure he's useless in a fight, but I do like the whole Harp-as-weapon thing for the little while that you have it, and he's just so cuuuuute...:) Plus I like his little one-on-one fight sequence in the desert.

I guess I'm gonna have to go with Edge, although it's hard for me to pick a least favorite. Edge is cool and all, but he gets very little character development, and his Ninja magic is okay when you first get him, but quickly devolves into crap. I am incredibly thankful for his Throw ability, though. That helps immensely with the final boss. And his little crush on Rydia is cute, and I like the way they left it unconfirmed at the end of the game.

not that i hate edward but in my opinion he was next to worthless. his attack was in the basement, he hides when his hp gets low making it very hard to cure him and his singing rarely worked, but he was necesary to kill the dark elf (via twin harp).
