Does anyone know anything about a commercial they ran in The States, for Final Fantasy III, where Mog, voiced by Jason Alexander, apparently, zapped a bunch of enemies? I have always wanted to see this commercial. I have screenshots, I'm not interested in those. I want to see this commercial in its entirety. I have scoured the Internet, but I can't find anything other than a screenshot or passing reference. Djibriel says it's not anywhere on the Internet. Does anyone know where I could get my hands on this commercial?

Actually, I HAVE seen this commercial, and I loved the hell out of it. The best I could find from it when I looked for it a few months back were screenshots in horrible quality. I too, could not find it anywhere on the internet. I was appropriately pissed too. I saw the commercial in it's entirety on the television back when FFVI came out.

I remember this commercial. Mog sounded like a recovering alcoholic, IIRC. I think he might even be smoking a cigar in the commercial. Totally different from his cute in game apperance and personality.
I don't know where you can find a video clip on the internet, but you're not missing a lot. It's an amusing commercial, but it pretty much consists of Mog auditioning different monsters to see if they make the cut for Final Fantasy. Most of them don't, and Mog then zaps them and calls for the next in line to come in for an audition. Even though I liked it, I remembered thinking that it had nothing to do with the actual game. Pretty strange, but I guess a little more creative than the later technique of selling the games with the FMVs. I never knew he was voiced by Jason Alexander. Now that's some interesting trivia.  |
