Hi, Im Sabin Trainee. I want to know your thoughts on how the game couldve been bettered. For example: Would you change the attributes of the enemies/bosses you encounter? Would you change the layout of the map? Would there be more/less characters/enemies in the game? Would you even go as far as changing the story-line?! These things are good to know and fun to talk about amongst friends and members. So journal your ideas down in here to how the game couldve changed. HAVE FUN! Dont forget to expend your mind a little.
P.S Do not forget to tell why you wouldve changed it! BEGIN |

1: Fix all bugs!
2: Make the translation a little better (Thanks Woosley!) 3: Add in those little stuff that didnt make it in the final version 4: Kefka should be tougher, like add in 5000 or 10000 health and increase his Bat. Power and Mag. Power by like 50 -------------------- Its not denial. I'm just very selective about the reality i accept. ~Calvin and Hobbes Yah, i dont post much if you havent noticed. For one i would change the length of the game
( There should be more to do-sidequests and the storyline) Second-I would change the enemies, the enemies you encounter, and the # of enemies in the game Third-I would like it if there were more towns(This has something to do with the map) Fourth-I flat out wish there was more to do( like finding more characters, quite a few more sidequests, and more secret weapons, shields, relics and items |

Quote (Sabin Trainee @ 24th October 2005 22:28) ... Do not forget to tell why you wouldve changed it! .... So you demand explanations with our posts, and then don't provide them yourself? OK.... I don't think that FF VI needs much work. Adding too much to the storyline might set the game's rather excellent pacing off balance, and there were a healthy number of sidequests in the WoR to keep us entertained. In terms of sidequests and things to do, the only SNES I've played that *might* outdo it in that regard is SMRPG. I wouldn't have minded an hyper-difficult near-endgame sidequest though, like some ridiculous dungeon loaded with Czar Dragons and hiding an uber-weapon or two, but I think that's exactly the sort of thing that Square-Enix plans on adding for their GBA port. FF VI isn't a difficult game in general, so something like that would actually give me some incentive to level up past 40. So yeah, I don't think FF VI needs much work. You seem to think that it could use a lot more to it, but as to why I haven't the foggiest. -------------------- |

Sorry My Appologies. I would change the length of the game because it was too short
I would change the enemies cause they were way too easy, or not enough I would change the towns to more bigger environment, and the people in them from less to more cause there wasnt enough dialogue I also think I would change the more things you do ( like sidequests) to lengthen the game You caught me on that laszlow..... ![]() ![]() I just got so exited |

I would have more quests where you need to make more than one party. Like at the pheonix cave, except without the puzzle stuff. It would work like the characters quests in the WoB (where you finish one character and then you do the next character).
Maybe two important plot events would happen at once, and you'd have to make two groups, or there are two ways into a dungeon, and you make two teams to try each route, or something like that. I never get to use all of the characters as much as I'd like to. |

FFVI doesn't require a whole lot of work, In my opinion. It was a good game, and if you choose to pursue the optional quests it's long enough.
People wouldn't be hacking it and toying with it so much if it wasn't a good game. Nobody hacks a whole lot for Final Fantasy 1 do they? It's a good game, and I say leave it as it is. The inperfections, small as they are, are outweighed by the game itself. I90- Who's gone absent- had a hardtype patch for it if you're into that sort of thing like improvement of the game's difficulty. -------------------- If you've been mod-o-fied, It's an illusion, and you're in-between. Actually, there are more FFI hacking projects in the making than I care to think of. Think TEKHacks...every other member had a FFI hack working. However, your point is still valid. We hack it because we love it. ...and because we want to fix it. Moderator Edit 100,000th post on the forums! This post has been edited by Neal on 26th October 2005 21:18 -------------------- Is PJ |

I love FFVI, and I haven't much to explain about it. Yet, I'd like this:
Instead of having just Celes and Cid in the first part of WOR, it would be Locke all of a sudden climbing to the (Star-shaped cavern) Phoenix cave and saying "The world has changed so much.." and "Nobody can stop Kefka. It's impossible now with all that we've got." and "I just want to live my life alone with Rachel. I wonder if there's something in this cavern that'd help me revive her?". After that, Locke finds the Magicite, and he heads all the way to Nikeah, takes a ship, goes to the South Figaro cave, finds Edgar, gets the Figaro Castle up and running, and goes to Kohligen. Locke revives Rachel with the Phoenix Magiciite and they love each other.. Five days later, they see Celes on a raft from Cid's home, injured. Locke and Rachel decide to help Celes recupperate, then Celes tells the two that Kefka hurt her badly and they decide to go and make Kefka pay for that by getting Setzer at the bar, getting his friend's old airship, and go find the others and save the world. yay. That's it. Good ol' FFVI! |

i would want the Czar dragon in there because i'm not a hacker,
more to the characters background Possible spoilers: highlight to view example: when you recruit setzer for the first time and have edgar and sabin wih you, sabin finds out that the coin edgar used was double sided, and i thought that the two brothers might have a talk about it instead, in the end, sabin just apologizes to edgar. ![]() also, they should show celes' past <even though that would ruin my fun of making fan fics about it> that's all i would change -------------------- OBEY YOUR THIRST "Aww...They're SOOO CUUTE!! Make an expert version avalible once you beat the game once. It is very similar to the Expert patch/mod made by Dij , i believe (Annouce credit if im wrong!) Of course, the expert mode added in the game will be different:
1: Deeper story line; Many side-quests and hidden scenes explain more of our character's lives and thoughts 2: More and better items; Elemental armors that match thier shield counter-parts, and if combined, the element that was matched (Thunder armor and shield, for example) will double the damage and reduce the mana cost of the matching magic type by 25%! Also there is the "Redepmtion Elixir" that heals MP and HP by 100%, and grants you 'Life 3'. Some potions increase the damage you deal and reduce the damage you recieve. Crimson Elixir gives you 25% extra fire damage to melee attacks, while Stoneskin drought grants 35% physical reduction and 10% magical recuction. 3:"Cool-Down" for certain items; Phienox Down can only be used once per two turns! Keep your party members alive! Megalixir every 3 turns, X-Potion and X-Ether every 2. 4:Cyan,Umaro, and other 'weak' characters enchanced; more powerful items and stats. Skills completley re-done! 5:Character-Specific Items and Equipment; Family Lineage relic for Cyan increases speed, stats, and damage by 25%! Mother's Rememberance makes Gau immune to all aliments, increased speed, Regen, Shell, and Barrier (i forgot the spell name..) Plus more! 6: Enemies and Bosses re-done; Tougher, Faster, Deadlier! They contain more lethal attacks that can take you down if your not careful! 7:Various Fixes; No bugs! Gameplay enchanced and more fast-paced. Gameplay is increased and has major re-play value! Suggestions and Comments accepted! -------------------- Its not denial. I'm just very selective about the reality i accept. ~Calvin and Hobbes Yah, i dont post much if you havent noticed. I would just add in the Czar Dragon, fix the text translation, and leave the rest alone
FFVI is a great game -------------------- "Have you ever seen a baby do that before?" |
