So I saw this picture and I wanted to do something like it. I guess I basically copied all the ideas from it and made my own version. 'Cept my version is a wallpaper thingy featuring Tifa. I cut its size down so it isn't so damn big.

I guess I can't be too proud of it 'cause I did kinda copy, but I suppose it is ok to copy things if you're looking to get better and you don't pawn it off as original or anything.

Anyway here is what I got my inspiration from.

I changed Tifa's smile in this. I think it looks a little better. Compare the two and let me know what you thinik.

The arrangement of mine isn't as good as the pic I copied. I think my colors aren't as good either. Guess those are just errors in choice.

I made a little FF7 symbol to put at the bottom. I thought that was kinda cool. I wanted to put Tifa's full name in Katakana at the top, but I'm not sure how to spell Lockheart properly in Japanese. I'm guessing its "rakuha-to" or "rakuhato" but I couldn't find out for sure so I left it blank. If anyone knows how to spell it correctly please let me know.

Also if anyone has suggestions to make this thing better, let me know. I'm looking to improve it.

P.S. - If CoN doesn't want works that are kind of copied like this, then let me know. I thought it would be okay so I went ahead and posted it.

I wouldn't consider that copying. The style is the same, sure, but it's a different character, and you still did the drawing from scratch, right?

I had an old signature. Now I've changed it.

I'd say it's different enough to not be considered copying, although it does look like a couple things might have been. The drawing is strinkingly vibrant, which is not something that was copied. I like it it. The color work is miles above what I can do.

Yeah, I did the drawing from scratch. Its just that I copied things from the style (eyes & nose for example) and bits of the shading. I'm not sure if I should consider it using the Jam pic as a reference or copying. I suppose it could just be in between.

I guess I have little to add other than there's something about those lips that bug me. Either it's the fact that the upper lip is practically non-existant or the unnatural curves at the ends (methinks the latter). It could just be me, too, though...

Well, the onlly tiff seemed to be from Galsic, about the lips. I changed them to make the upper lip more prominent and took the ends off the smile. I think it looks a bit better, thought its not much. I also added Tifa's name at the top of the pic.

I modified the original post, so take a look and compare the two. See what you think.
