This is atopic about FFV No-Job game. The challenge is simple as this: Do not use any jobs but Bare. The HP level is VERY low, so you have to atleast level up to get more than 4000 HP in the end.. I currently haven't beat one, but I'm at the part
Possible spoilers: highlight to view
where you have to go to the floating machine to save the Earth Crystal with Bartz at Level 37, Reina at Level 26, Galuf at Level 23, and Faris at Level 24.

And by the way, you CAN use Magic on ALL enemies without the use of jobs! Just buy Fire, Ice, and Thunder Rods and use them as items. They always cast the 3rd level of that element on EVERYONE.. So that's pretty cheesy.. But it's useful on bosses like the LiquidFlame boss, Biblos boss, and the gargoyles boss.

I was thinking about doing that after I did every SCC. I can't see it being hard, to be honest. You can equip absolutely every weapon and armor in the game. Ribbons, elemental rings, Brave Blade, Knight swords, and rod breaking should ensure it doesn't get too hard.

Definitely worth a try, though. thumbup.gif

I completed it a while back. It was actually a fun challenge, and utilized more strategy than many other SCC's I've tried, atleast when I wasn't just rod-breaking. Get to know the properties of weapons; you can equip anything, so choose well. The first Whip you get, for instance, has the power to paralyze enemies, and alot of earlier bosses are susceptible to this. Ribbons are a godsend, and while some bosses will cause you trouble, a full inventory and alittle pre-planning will have you sailing through.

Edit
Oh, yeah. I beat it relatively easily at about Levels 57-60. I don't think it was challenging enough to warrant super-high levels. Rods gave me access to pretty much every big spell, and items and carefully-selected armours made my characters fine for defense.

I voted no. A no-job game? That's just crazy talk.

I don't know. Maybe after I finish all the other SCCs, which is something I'm not really sure if I'm gonna do. So far I've done blue mages, and dragoons. Somehow, the blue mage SCC was easier than going thru the game normally.

Seems like a bit of a dry playthrough for me. I haven't even come close to completing all of the SCC's. I just got through with a Blue Mage game, which was great. And have previously completed a Black Mage game. I would think that (for me anyway) playing naked would sap some fun from the general experience of FFV. Though actually PLAYING naked might not be so bad, however, I don't think it would be much fun as a spectator sport... pinch.gif

Though, seriously, I might try it after I've completed the game in every possible manner, when the only use for the disk (playing via FF Anthology) would be as a coaster for my oft-frosty beverage. Then and only then would I consider a Bare playthrough. smile.gif

It may seem impossible, but.. Just train up to LV 99 (It may seem alot, but I know a place where you can get 4500 EXP in the FIRST WORLD.) and equip the 12 legendary sealed weapons, ribbon, etc. and break those rods.

Here's where to get that much EXP in the first world:

Possible spoilers: highlight to view
But you have to kill one party member to get this much in one battle. Once you decided, walk around the forests of the Easterly Falls (only there). When you get in battle with five Mini Dragons, break your rods TWICE and you've received 4500 EXP!! Do the same for the others once you think it's enough.

For me, I play by emulator.. So it's very friggen fast and FUN.

Sigh.. Well, gotta get back to beating Archeoavis at that floating ship tongue.gif

I beat it once with a No-Job game. It was actually pretty easy, and I liked how you didn't have to worry about gaining AP or anything. All you really have to do is come into battle prepared, and you'll do fine.

Doesn't levelling to 99 as early as possible sort of defeat the point of an Solo Class Challenge? I mean, I personally overlevel as it is, but I managed to beat it with next-to-normal levels. It's not massively difficult, and all the fun of the thing would have been lost for me if I had been able to power through everything.
