After a long downtime, we have some new media to share with you! First off, we've got new fanart from several artists, including lizsama, Kame, Rujuken, Silverfork, rikacmo, and Ashe. Thanks to The_Pink_Nu1 for his help in preparing this new batch.
Also up is some new Final Fantasy VI media. Thanks to Dong0, we have a Japanese commercial advertising (I presume) the re-release of Final Fantasy VI for the Playstation over there. It's MPEG and about four megabytes, so pick it up! We hope to have some more media updates soon, so keep hounding us to finish. -------------------- "To create something great, you need the means to make a lot of really bad crap." - Kevin Kelly Why aren't you shopping AmaCoN? |

Yay, more FF fanart, the site is just a little closer to having the largest collection on the web. I love to gander at what other people think the characters look like. Everyone have so many different ideas, it 's like taking a peek into everybodys minds.
As for the ad, I found it odd to say the least. One such odd thing is if it is for the rerelease of VI, why are they using the FF IV song Prologue? If I were designing the commercial and the music already exsited, I would have used a song from VI such as Terra. But that's just me and I don't know the japanese audience that well. On a related note, Prologue has lyrics!!! I had no idea, I wonder what they are? I don't speak japanese after all. That's the main Final Fantasy theme. You can find it in most of the FF games. In FF6, it's near the end of the ending theme (as it is in 7-9).

That ad is kinda...odd.
One thing I noticed is the announcer talks about it being for the Super Famicom near the end, and I'm pretty sure those sorta CG capabilities were around in '94 going by what I remember of 90's movies. I also thought the ads for the re-release contained scenes from the FMVs. Maybe it's for the initial release...? -------------------- Words of Wisdom: If something can go wrong, it will.
