trailer (about 14 minutes long)
The game is supposed to be a Super Mario Brothers 3 remake using the visuals, tools, and style of New Super Mario Brothers for the DS. In addition to the straight remake, the game has what appear to be at least a dozen bonus stages, cameo stages, and challenge stages. It's playable on either a DS flashcart like an R4 or a CycloDS, or a DS emulator. This looks amazing. Once my flashcart arrives (I ordered one for a different reason, but I will certainly use it for this game), I will play the &*$% out of this. Oh yeah, this looks great. I'm one of those curmudgeons who just like to play the same 100 or so games over and over again, so I'm always ready for another helping of SMB3. I'll have to give this one a try for sure, the new content looks great!

Oh man neat, you can even wall jump and dive in the air to crash into enemies.
The recoloration is nice too. -------------------- We are stardust. Our bodies are made from the guts of exploding stars. Neil Degrasse Tyson. |

Hooooly crap.
Though at first I thought it was just a remake of SMB3 with NSMB graphics. Then I realized that it also had NSMB physics...which I personally am not very fond of. Then I realized that it had custom levels anyway. I'm impressed to see this level of romhacking ability, this quickly after the release of a system. Not sure how much this game will be my cup of tea, as I'm usually not the kind to enjoy playing platform hell, and as I mentioned I don't like NSMB physics that much. But maybe I'll give it a spin. I haven't yet played NSMB itself though, so maybe I'll go do that first. Man. this guy, and whoever helped him is a genius!
Would you guys suggest I play the original first though? It's on the NES right? -------------------- www.youtube.com/blinje The victor sacrificed the vanquished to the heavens |

If you haven't, then you really should. Yes, it's on the NES, plus a re-release on SNES as part of Super Mario All-Stars, plus a re-release on GBA as Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3, plus a re-release of the original on the Wii Virtual Console.
