Thank you so much for the kind words. I spent about two months and a half in this, so I’m relived to know I’m not the only one that appreciates it. Well, my family did say they like it, but for them is “the king dude with the two thrones”.

Oh and hey! Is fleetingsight! I know this isn’t the place but, I adored your fandub.

I wonder who else of the “FF6 fandom celebrities” are here.

I like it. Your two and a half months really show, I can't see any mistakes.

That's fabulous work. It shows what you put into it, too!

Man, never thought about it, but classic games would make for easy stitching patterns! They're pixelated, so they're allowed to look like they do. I mean, I've seen plenty a sewn horse and buggy that looks all bizarre, but this looks fabulous, and I wager many others could too!

Random side note, awesome new avatar, Neal!

You should totally submit that to SpriteStitch, too, if you haven't. And make sure you mention CoN in your submission. biggrin.gif

You should check the link Rangers51 posted; it’s full of amazing cross-stitch works among other videogame related crafts.

About selling it, well, a lot of turmoil happened in my life while I was stitching it. It was my stress reliever if you want to call it that. So I’m keeping it. But I’m not discarding the possibility of making another one for that purpose. As soon as I finish another little project (needed a break from the big one) I might start Celes at the Opera house.

That was very well-done and very creative. You did something very outside-the-box and did a great job on it.

I don't know if CoN takes non-traditional works, but you should definitely submit it to the FanArt department if they do.

Thank you!

Check it out, they finally put up my work at Sprite Stitch . I was getting kind of nervous there, it took a bit of time.

Here's a preview of the little project I'm working on, taking a break from Figaro. Also I lied. Lovely sprites snatched from the Card Gallery , it's just... the coin!, I couldn't resist.

So when I finish this the Opera is next. I decided on Celes throwing the bouquet of flowers, but I'm still not sure on the lyrics.

SNES
We must part now.
My life goes on.
But my heart won't give
you up.

GBA
I'm thankful, my beloved.
For your tenderness and grace.

Or even in Italian!
Ti ringrazio, caro bene
Amor mio, vita mia
Al grave doler, al buio timor
Che il cuore mi turbó

I'm inclining toward the SNES version for nostalgia sake, but the Italian one would give it an special touch. Or should I send the script to hell and go with the universal “Oh, my hero” and save myself some strands of floss?

Your work is really hardcore, that's such a cool idea. thumbup.gif

I'm quite the oldschool gamer so I would pick the SNES lyrics to remind myself of the amazing song, but I think the italian lyrics would be more...elegant. Considering I'm a trashy, non-italian speaking person, I'd go for the SNES.

Unfortunately, I have little to add other than saying that it's very nice work.

And that I think Italian would be the best touch.

And that I spent an hour or two going through that stitching site, R51.

Free hand I guess. My only guide are the sprites zoomed in with a grid. Printed cross-stitch patterns are most common but I find it easier to stare at my monitor. The time depends on the size of the project, the throne room took me around 70-80hrs. And I just finished this little ones in about 10-15hrs.

Right now I'm finally working on the opera scene. Decided to go with the original lyrics (in part because I'm lazy and didn't want to change the sreencap XD). I believe this is going to take me another good 2-3 months, so wish me luck.

I really wish we had a clapping smiley on here. If we did I'd give you like 20 of them. Seriously, that's great work. It looks like a framed screen shot from the game. I'm glad you got your art displayed as well.

By the way, I think you should use Italian.

It turns out that having a job cuts severely one's free time. This took about the double amount of time I had planned, but here it is at last:

Another good one sandy, i see you did it on a blue background to save time. very smart. i almost had trouble discerning it from an actual screen shot. good work.

Lol, yeah. I was actually planning on stitching all of the sky in a black fabric. (Un)fortunately the store ran out of black and they offered me blue, I didn't even knew they sold blue.

I noticed how you did the moon in that with the lettering over it. how did you do that with out making it look like the lettering was embeded in the moon? also do you plan to do the whole game this way or just random scenes?

I don't think I quite get your question, but here goes. Each pixel equals one full stitch. In this case I stitched the white of the letters first, then the black of the shade, and then worked the blues of the moon around them.

Goodness no! I think I would reach 80 and not even be at the half of the game =P . I just stitch what I'm in the mood of. My next project is going to be a Zelda one, maybe I'll return to FFVI after that.
