They do pictures of these things sometimes in game magazines. People who are otherwise too old for this sort of thing take childrens' craft fuse beads and reproduce sprites from 8 and 16 bit games. I made this one - as you can see it's very large. (And my carpet is very dingy.)

That is the most awesome thing I have seen that resembles something from a FF/FF6!! It actually looks like Tritoch is in it's frozen Esper form!!

The image is busted for me, but I used to do things like that when I was little. Never to the scale you describe, heh.

I'm moving this to Your Creations, though, because it doesn't really tie into the game itself.

I had to copy-paste

http://moonreading.lunarpages.com/beadsprite1.jpg

to see it, but I think it's pretty keen. I'm reminded of my friend needlepointing a sprite of Link onto her graduation gown in much the same fashion.

the image is broken for me as well, and L. Cully's link is forbidden, so if there is any way to fix that...?

Edit
ok, i got it to work by copying and pasting it into paint. it didn't allow me to post it here, otherwise i would have. it looks really good, just like in the game.

That's completely awesome. I love it! You did the ice really well, too, made it look like it does in the game. Excellent.

Did she mean this to be an FFVI submission. Seeing as it's a character from the game, I don't quite follow your reasoning for moving it.

Regardless, I'm in awe of the accuracy ohmy.gif .

Moderator Edit
The FF6 forum is for "questions or comments" about the game itself. This is a creation based on the game. If it's a FF6 submission, it still would have been in the wrong forum, were it in FF6. smile.gif -R51

I had the same problem at first, but I just refreshed the page and it was fine. Try that.

When I was looking at this, I thought it was a very close up version of the sprite itself, then I realized that it wasn't. Excellent work! It's pretty awesome.

It took about a week to put together and required nine 29 peg by 29 peg boards. Assembling a bead sprite isn't difficult, and though it's tedious it's still cool to watch it all come together. The tricky part is assembling the color palette. This one actually uses much brighter colors than are used in the game.

It looks good, but i believe the scale of it makes it hard to tell what it is. I mean if you hadn't told me what it was i wouldn't of been able to tell, it looks really blurrly like you some how zoomed in on the sprite. Though i admire you're attention to detail it would have been better if you could of made it look more like the small scale version. This medium is an intersting medium to do sprites in an i am sure that you could make a lot of money selling these, but i still think you need to work on the clarity. There are a few details in there that are questionable, like why you'd use black and white beads in areas of no black and white. Even the detail of the ice looks blurry, it was causing me a bit of eye strain, you have a really really really good start, but the next step is to make it clearer. Hope i havent hurt you're feelings i am just trying to give you a little constructive critisum. (please forgive the spelling errors.)

It's awesome! What I wonder is, how'd you get all the colors for it?
