*** The Testper esper does not exist, nor does its false location ***

I think the testper is located in:

Before you board the ship with Locke and Terra, go back into the cave of the sealed gate with only those two in your party. Remember seeing that hole that went nowhere in the screen before the sealed gate? The same room with the door that appeared on the wall warping you back to the enterance of the cave?

Well... in that room, on the far right, you see a hole that goes down but you cannot go into it. Enter the room with the sealed gate again and you will see the gate with the rocks still infront of it. Terra says "The esper world... we have to do something or both will be destroyed." Then there is another avalanche. Locke then says "What was that?" When you go back into the room, the path to the room below has appeared. Go down the stairs and you find the guardian of the gate, and a bunch of empty magitek suits. At the end of the cavern, you find Ralphie which you have to fight in order to get at the esper. At the beginning of the battle Ralphie says "I will not let you pass!" After the battle, walk to the esper to get Testper.

This is a lie, can you think of a better one?

The two treasures chest in the Albrook weapon that are usually empty. There is a small chance you will find Testper in one of them.

Get Terra's depression stat as high as possible. When Leo dies, she'll commit suicide, and become Testper.

I don't think we really need any more rumor topics.

Besides, it's clearly in the ferry's engine room. You have to give the guard outside the Cider from Locke's South Figaro subquest after talking to him 99 times to get in.

Agreed.

Though, you're wrong about how to get him.

1. When Gehstahl tells you to talk to his soldiers, make sure you only talk to the ones who battle you. Then make sure the timer runs out in the middle of last battle.
2. When the WoB crumbles, leave Shadow behind.
3. Save Cid.
4. Get all of the remaining characters.
5. Get all the espers, but don't upgrade Odin.
6. Go to Narshe with Cyan, Gau, and Relm (in that order on the menu). In the caves where you fought Tritoch the first time, you will find Vicks and Wedge. A scene will happen, then you will fight super-powered versions of them. Kill Vicks first. Before he dies, Wedge will steal all your Magicite, and plug them into his Magitek armor for extra power. It will overpower and explode. All the Espers will be revived and fly off.
7. Terra and Cid will come in. You will see another scene. Terra will Morph, and fly off to the Floating Continent. You will find Shadow at the entrance. He will give you instructions, and then die.
8. You will have to go through a new Floating continent with a permanently Morphed Terra. You will have to go through and beat all of your espers (special scene if you beat Maduin first). After you beat one, that one will become more powerful.
9. At the end, you will have to fight, in succession, Raiden (win the esper), the Pizza Bear (win the Ragnarok Sword), Czar Dragon (win the Illumina), and Testper (win the esper).
