There is no correct order its random as to what dream you get. Just go to like Thasma and start sleeping you might have to sleep around a lot to get the right dreams.

Ooo, who do you get to sleep around with? Celes or Terra? (Hopefully not Relm..) -------------------- The clouds ran away, opened up the sky And one by one I watched every constellation die And there I was frozen, standing in my backyard Face to face, eye to eye, staring at the last star I should've known, walked all the way home To find that she wasn't here, I'm still all alone -Atmosphere "Always Coming Back Home to You" |

Heh. But no, you always get the four dreams you can get from "sleeping around" in order. At least, that's what happened to me. They still don't come up very often though.
You need to see them before the WoR to see all the past sequences in sequence, because of the finding Relm/Shadow dream. |

I found the easiest way to get all the dreams was to go to Zophar's Domain, and download the zip they have of save states for ZSNES at the beginning of each dream. I'm just lazy, sue me.

Actually, I've found that this is not true. Maybe it's just me, but I've always had a much better chance of seeing all the dreams in sequence after the World of Ruin (following the re-recruiting of Shadow at the Collosseum). I've actually managed to see every dream in a row, with no interruptions, while staying at the same WoR inn over and over again. But the point is, you've already seen the "dream" you get when you find Relm or Shadow. This occurs AFTER the Inn dreams, timelinewise. I normally see them in the WoR too, and the Inn dreams themselves are in sequence (as they always are), but you've already seen the end of the sequence by this point from getting your character back. |

theres 5 dreams. im almost positive of it, but i forget what the 5th is. i know theres not 7 like some people think, but im quite sure theres 5 not 4, and i thought they came in an order, cuz the story they portray IS a linear one, but i guess i might be wrong, and they tell the story all screwy.

The reason people often get confused on how many dreams there are is that people don't often consider dreams to be the same thing. If you ask me, there are seven dreams in the game: Four from sleeping at inns with Shadow, one from recovering Shadow from the Cave on the Veldt, one from recovering Relm from the Cave on the Veldt, and a seventh is Cyan's Dream that happens when you sleep at Doma Castle. Other people have different opinions, for example, they could include the "dream" that Terra has when she falls in the beginning in the Caves of Narshe.

Ah, okay, I see what you were trying to say. That makes more sense. Though it is perfectly possible that Shadow's dreams sequences aren't in order at all. They're a bunch of mixed up memories, so they may or may not appear in total chronological order. (Although Shadow's and Relm's dreams are most certainly the last of the series.) -------------------- "I always have a quotation for everything - it saves original thinking." ~Dorothy L.
