I know of at least five CoN members who are actively (relatively) playing DII:LoD at the moment: Malevolence, Laszlow , Zero_Hawk, Quad and Footbigmike. I'm playing too, and if you'd like to reach me, my account name is n1njav.

At the moment, I'm playing Act V, Nightmare, and I'm something like level 64 on my Assassin, martial arts build. 30ish on a bone-build necromancer.

Okay, but there was a goat!

I had been playing it a lot last year, but my brother and I got really fed up with the D2 economy. mainly the game just became a race to get the first 3os 15ed mage plate and then mass dupe high runes to make nigmas to dupe to get more stuff. It was really lame trying to get any of that high-level gear.

If I decide to play again sometime I'll post it here. I have a nasty Singer Barb. He and my brother's really bad Whirlwind Axe Barb were able to kill ubers no problem. That was the last game I played, actually.

I've been playing off and on when schoolwork allows, mostly with people at my university's Gamers Club. Right now I have a Barbarian at level 59, a Druid at level 30, and a Sorceress at level 36. Right now I'm mostly working on getting that Druid to Nightmare.

I kinda got back onto it during the summer, right after the ladder reset, and I HAD a lvl 86 barbarian and a lvl 80 amazon (got hacked tho).

My new acct has a lvl 91 barbarian, a lvl 86 paladin, and a lvl 70 druid at the moment. All my characters are named the same thing too... Number_too!!!!!!!!!!

Hm. Well, as per usual, once someone mentioned Diablo 2 I started playing again. I don't play too frequently, but I'm on occasionally.

I still have my old account, Porygon. I made a new one also since I didn't want to delete any of my old characters. That account is Sludge_Bomb. Both are USEast ladder.

I run hot and cold with the game. Because I may play for a few months and then shelve it for several more, I don't really bother with ladder (I know I know, I'm uncool). For what it's worth, though, my USEast account is Naph.

i hate how all melee character in D2 sucks in pve
my barb has nearly perf cruel legend sword (similar base effect as colossus blade, just weaker and faster- so at least 95% as good as ccb) and he still can't kill much in hell >_>
i just get on so i don't lose my items, but I'll probably forget to do that someday

I noticed the same thing about melee builds, so I made a javazon with the purpose of proving myself wrong. I maxed Impale, Penetrate, Decoy, and Valk, with 1 pt in the evasion skills and Crit Strike. She did have the best gear I could possibly give her (EBOTD war pike, fortitude archon plate, a 40/15 andy's visage, some 3/20 gloves, torch, anni, 7x jav gcs), but her damage was absolutely monstrous. Really, with just the EBOTD war pike on alone, she could hit upwards of 15k per hit. Impale is really slow (mine was 18 fpa), so I sometimes use Jab, which did about 8k per hit (hitting 5.5 fpa, though).

My brother and I beat ubers using this character and his summoner. He had a beast zerker axe, might aura merc, and a pride polearm for the merc. That's three +damage auras for my zon. She solo'd the ubers while he just chilled in the background. She has 0% crushing blow. It was all just pure damage. 39k with impale and auras, 12k with jab and auras.
