I'm working on learning Aria Di Mezzo Carratere on piano.
Also, I could play most of the meledies on saxophone if I wanted to. -------------------- "My name is Atma...I am a power both ancient and unrivaled... I do not bleed, for I am but strength given form...Feeble creatures of flesh...Your time is nigh!" |

I can play quite a few songs from the Final Fantasy Series on the Guitar. The only thing I ever learned from VI, however, is Terra's theme.

My marimba chamber group in high school worked out a pretty fun remix of the chocobo's theme, based on the FF VI version. It was three marimbas, one vibraphone, and a set.
I also could play a solo version of Celes' theme on the vibraphone that was pretty nice, but I didn't have any sheet music. With sheet music, any FF VI song would be pretty easy on mallet keyboards. -------------------- |

You guys should make videos of yourselves playing these songs. I would love to see/hear them since I don't play any instruments. I think it's really cool.

If I ever get the money saved up for an electric guitar (all I have is an acoustic right now), I'd like to post a video of myself playing "The Decisive Battle" and a few songs from other FFs like, Vamo alla Flamenco (my favorite to play from the series). Although, I have been considering putting up a tutorial video of how to play the Flamenco song from IX, and Those who Fight from VII on YouTube. -------------------- Climhazzard is the timeless evil robot who runs some of the cool stuff at CoN (mostly logging chat, since there are no quizzes at the moment), all the while watching and waiting for his moment to take over the world. -Tiddles |

I have a really bad video on Youtube of me playing Terra's theme on my accordion really badly and a couple of Chrono Trigger songs. I've since learned to play 'Terra' better, but haven't put up a new vid of it yet.
Oh, and I can play Forever Rachel, but I never made a video of it. This post has been edited by Doughboyjones on 18th December 2008 02:38 -------------------- No matter how hard I try, I just can't get worried about it! |

I've played Coin Song, Kefka's theme (with my own preferred tweaks), Setzer's theme, Awakening, Rachel's theme, Dancing Mad I-III, Umaro's theme, Strago's theme, the Phantom Train music, and maybe a few other tracks, on piano.
That's full-texture (of as much of the instrumentation as possible) by-ear transcriptions of the in-game music, not based on some sheet music from the internet. -------------------- Check the "What games are you playing at the moment?" thread for updates on what I've been playing. You can find me on the Fediverse! I use Mastodon, where I am @[email protected] ( https://sakurajima.moe/@glennmagusharvey ) |

I just want to add that I find it really annoying when I look up sheet music or tabs that they are generally wrong somehow. I really would like to know why certain sites let people post some of the crap they do. I looked up sheet music for Vamo Alla Flamenco awhile back, and it was terrible. The writer even had it in the wrong octave! I think, personally, if someone wants to play music from a video game, it's just better if they figure it out themselves, by ear. I had thought, at one point, of ordering an official sheet music book for the guitar, but have you seen the prices on those things?! -------------------- Climhazzard is the timeless evil robot who runs some of the cool stuff at CoN (mostly logging chat, since there are no quizzes at the moment), all the while watching and waiting for his moment to take over the world. -Tiddles |
