New Square Enix Concert Series Announced

With all of the live music that Square Enix, and in particular the Roth family, have produced over the years, you might wonder what additional concerts we have yet to see. It appears that the answer for now is that we'll get a concert series, called simply ""The Music of Square Enix," that collects music from just about all over the Squenix songbook.

The new website for the series explicitly references music from Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Mana, NieR, and Octopath; this alone could fill a setlist, but naturally the site also says that other series of games will be included too.

So far, fifteen shows have been announced worldwide, with on-sale dates for almost all of the shows in Europe and the United States happening this week. The concert will kick off in Tokyo in April of 2026, then head into the United States in May and June, stopping in Los Angeles, Chicago, Seattle, and Portland, Oregon. Two shows are also scheduled in Fort Worth in 2027, with a few shows in Asia and Europe in between, which seems to imply that they have quite a few other dates that they would like to fill in other locations too.

Glenn Magus Harvey Heh, I was just thinking, after the recent Final Fantasy concert, that i'd like to hear a greater variety of stuff.

St Khael I have a calendar notification to buy our tickets to the new concert. We actually drive out of town this weekend to go see Distant Worlds again. We absolutely love it and I recommend going if anyone gets a chance. I can't wait for this new one, though. It's going to be amazing!

Glenn Magus Harvey What's the picture of the girl and the boy and the ??? on a wooden sailboat in the sea? Second from top left of the "gallery".

For a moment I thought this was Nostalgia, the DS game, but that would (1) swap the girl and the boy (the boy has blond hair and the girl has black hair in that game) and (2) be on an airship instead lol. And I'm pretty sure that isn't a Squenix game.

Actually, heck, I don't think I recognize any of the top row aside from Tidus. Maybe...Secret of Evermore?

Meanwhile though I wasn't even aware that NieR is a Squenix IP.

It's Chrono Cross from the og Playstation. I'm excited because the music from that game is incredible and the thought of possibly hearing Scars of Time (the opening theme) live has me so excited.
