New Release Date for Chrono Trigger DS in the USA

Chrono Trigger
Chrono Trigger DS is coming to the United States on November 25, 2008, just in time to give North American games another thing to be thankful for this Thanksgiving, but unfortunately also just in time for laszlow to pick up a new distraction from semester exams. Earlier information indicated a release in early December, but a new press release from Square-Enix gives us a new, definite time.

In other regions, the release date is still uncertain, with a "Winter 2008" release in Japan and an "Early 2009" release in Europe and Australia.

Dragon_Fire While I'm unreasonably excited to replay this game on the DS and glad that the wait has been cut down by a month or two, I'm going to hate myself for buying it. No way am I going to be able to focus on end-of-fall-semester tests and assignments when I could be playing the greatest RPG ever made.

Neal Cool - I preordered the game back when I picked up my copy of either FFTA2 of FF4DS and they told me December 8, so it's nice to know that I'll be getting it even sooner than that.

Harlequin If it's being released "Winter 2008" in Japan, does that mean there's no chance that it'll be released earlier in Japan then the US? I'm not sure what they mean by that time period as I have no idea if Thanksgiving has ever fallen under the winter when it comes to video game releases. I mean, I'd be surprised if CT was available earlier in a country other than Japan.

Kame Chrono Trigger is one of the games I'm planning on getting when it comes out later this year. The other one is the Dragon Warrior IV remake. Very much looking forward to playing both again on my DS.

I'm only getting three games this year. Those same two you're getting in addition to Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia.

And just to stay on topic, a few days ago they dropped the Japanese release date: 27 November. Go Team!

Aether Master I'm really looking forward to a lot of new Square stuff for the DS, especially Chrono Trigger. I just got Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker yesterday and I reserved Dragon Quest IV.

I can't wait for the Chrono Trigger port!
