Final Fantasy XIII OST - US Citizens Only
Because it's on pre-order in the US for $30.
Normally I'd be bound by law to plug AmaCoN, but I think in this case I'm forgiven, since it's double the price there. And as the title may indicate, there is no such offer for EU residents...yet. But is this deal worth it? Is the soundtrack any good without Nobuo Uematsu? I can barely remember any Final Fantasy XII tracks, despite having played that all the way through, and yet I can recall so many tracks from 1-10. Despite this, there have been a few good reviews, stating that it's different, but good nonetheless.
Maybe our few members who have played the game can impart their much needed wisdom on the matter? I'm certainly interested.

It's one of my favorite FF OST's, and I do find myself humming or singing some of the songs from it. (Though I also find myself doing the same for FFXII music) Masashi Hamauzu did do work on a fair number of FFX tracks as well as a few SaGa games and DoC: FFVII. I did import the LE OST from Japan and don't regret that at all, as this is only the standard soundtrack, and 85 tracks for $30 is a great deal.

I wanted to add that I did actually like FFXII's soundtrack. I don't like it the same way that I like other FF soundtracks: FFX, for instance, had several very memorable and catchy songs that I love. FFXII, on the other hand, has a large number of songs that, while not being too catchy, do a fantastic job of reflecting the mood and environment in which they are played. The themes from the Salikawood, the P-Rift and Sorrow are all great songs that do a great job of capturing the mood at that point and place in the game. If FFXIII hits this note, I will still be quite happy with it, though I haven't decided yet whether or not to buy the OST.

Masashi Hamauzu's work on Saga Frontier II alone makes me confident in saying that he's just as good, if not better, than Nobuo. Seriously.
