Final Fantasy OSTs Released on iTunes

General Final Fantasy
Square Enix announced Saturday that it would be offering original Final Fantasy soundtracks for download via iTunes.

Soundtracks for all eleven numbered Final Fantasy games, from I to XI, are represented, as well as a few other series-related albums, such as a live recording of the 2002 FF-themed concert put on by the Tokyo Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra. This marks the first time any of these albums have been available in the United States.

A complete listing of Final Fantasy soundtracks now available on iTunes can be found at Square Enix's Official Website.

karasuman Blat. Now it's harder to justify owning them illegally.

Shotgunnova Like usual, the great atmospheric tunes of Final Fantasy Tactics get passed over. I don't think Square-Enix appreciates that single-disc masterpiece half as much as its fans do.

Rangers51 Here's a question I just thought of - are they actually charging $0.99 a song for every track, or are they doing bundles? I think ~$60.00 for FF6 in total is absolutely nuts, for instance. But, then, most won't care about the score and will get only one or two tracks they know they like - that's just not for me.

Single songs are $0.99, yes, but they sell them cheaper when as purchased as a whole album, just as with almost every other album they sell on iTunes. The Final Fantasy OSTs get a lot bigger reductions than the other albums do though. The FF6 OST goes for $17.99, for example.

GamblingCat Its an interesting idea that they decided to do it, but the only way ill ever conisder getting any of the OST's for FF's they have on there (I have a Few FF OST's FFVII and IX for example, i had X but it got stolen 2 years ago.) is if consider forking over the cash for an iPod.
