Looks pretty sweet, although i'm not sure if I like Yang's new menu picture, personally.

Personally though I enjoy the fact that it's transferring medias, I wish they'd stop tampering with the game graphics. I mean, it robs it of it's 16-bit charm, you know?

Awesomeness. Loved the video, I only wished it was longer. What are the odds of further video previews like this between now and the release date? And has the release date of Dec. 12th been confirmed?

Ew, I don't like any of the new character portraits. Part of it is probably just what I'm used to, but some of these are just ugly. Who decided that Yang needed that color of hair?

The Dark Knight Field Sprite looks kind of like a FFV Berserker. Is it just me? Looks damn good though (The game in general).

I think I'd have to agree with Karasuman that not all the menu pics changed for the better. Yang looks.... weird. I still plan to buy the game as soon as it's released.

I'm still extremely curious as to the nature of the extra dungeons. In Dawn of Souls, the Soul of Chaos dungeons were entertaining references and the Soul of Rebirth sequence was a decent plot extension, but what kind of dungeon will we see in FF IV? Or in FF IIIj's release next year, for that matter?

1. Nice backgrounds graphics improvements. 2. Maybe you shouldn't have messed with the menu pics, since (Yang's is actually not that bad) they're not as good as they used to be. 3. NOOOOO! "Fira" "Blizzaga" "Cura" "Esuna".....PLEASE STOP inserting what seems like half-arse Japanese suffixes to a layperson and revert to Fire 2, Ice 3, Cure, and Heal! PLEASE!!!!! (Actually, go ahead and exchange the usages of Cure and Heal, to make them more intuitive, but other than that, I'd probably object.) 4. Nice spiffy new map graphics. 5. Sucky box art. laszlow: maybe we'll see interesting stuff like a sidequest for unstoning you-know-who.

I just can't wait to take Polom to the moon.

Quote (MogMaster @ 7th November 2005 19:46) I just can't wait to take Polom to the moon. Uh, which one? Or was that on purpose? Taking characters at the end of the game sounds good, but most of their level progressions are not set up to make it very feasible. I'm looking forward to that aspect, too, but hoping that they had the sense to level out the progressions, as well as to provide more equipment for later in the game. You'd think a bunch of people who had the time to screw up the character portraits could do something worthwhile, too.

I think it looks pretty amazing. I like the slightly updated graphics, even the menu portraits. I hope the dungeon is a worthwhile addition. I can see many opportunities for an added side-quest in the FF4 world, from the underground to that magnetic cave, to the moon. It wouldn't be hard to make a dungeon or two to keep the game going longer. I like the idea of an optional boss/quest such as the Weapons and the Deep Dungeon of FFT, and I hope a similar idea is translated to this one.
