Caves of Narshe Interviewed by 1up.com

1up.com published today a feature detailing the storied history of video game fansites, and among the sites discussed is our very own CoN. 1up interviewed Rangers51 for the article, which also includes discussion of and interviews with other major fansites of the past and present, including The GIA and The Mushroom Kingdom. While we're buried a bit at the back of the article, we're proud to be mentioned among these influential sites, and we'll be more than content to outlive them all and then see who is laughing and then the people who are laughing will be us ahahahahah.

	That's a good article. It's strange to look at the history and how it has unfolded. It's also strange because CoN is so much more than a fansite now. It's one of the best forums on the internet.

	I'd agree, CoN is ~~one of~~ the best forums on the internet. 1up should feel lucky to have a feature on its front page. As for the other sites, aside from 1up itself, the only other one I've heard of before is The Mushroom Kingdom. I must admit I haven't been looking very hard for fan-base specific sites though. Kinda makes me wonder how exactly I came across this place in fact. I did just recently get into FF when I first got my web connection, so maybe that has something to do with it...

	I think they kinda left out a few important points, such as our commitment to detailed verification research and maintenance of a very well-organized forum.

	Looked at this today for the first time in quite a while while reading up on something else. Not only have we outlived most of those sites, we ended up kinda outliving 1up itself, in the end. Oho!

	Um, do whatever you did in July '05? No? Well, as long as you don't get bought up by the evil overlords, (hopefully) you'll at least be able to close out on your terms : / .
